7. Maintenance
7.1 Battery Care
- Charge the device regularly, especially if it will not be used for an extended period.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
7.2 File Management
Regularly transfer important recordings to your computer or cloud storage and delete unnecessary files from the device to free up space.
7.3 Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
8. Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues:
- Recording stops when connecting other devices: If you connect headphones or a charger during recording, the recording will stop. Ensure no other devices are connected while actively recording.
- Indicator light does not illuminate during charging: If you are recording while charging, the indicator light will not illuminate. Please turn off the device's power before charging to see the indicator light.
- Actual memory capacity differs from advertised: Memory manufacturers typically define 1GB as 1000MB, while computers recognize 1GB as 1024MB. This difference in calculation leads to a slightly lower displayed capacity on your computer. This is normal and not a defect.
- Connection issues with PC/phone:
- Ensure the voice recorder is turned OFF before connecting it to a computer or phone.
- When connecting, avoid pressing any buttons and place the recorder steadily.
- For Android phones, verify that the OTG function is enabled. Search for "OTG" or "USB" in your phone's settings and enable it to allow connection to other devices. (Specific steps may vary by Android model; consult your phone manufacturer or Google for details).
- For Mac users, try using a different USB-C adapter if connection issues persist.
