2. Product Overview
2.1 Key Features
- Extended Probe Cable: Features a 3-meter (9.8ft) external probe cable for flexible temperature detection in various locations.
- Waterproof Probe: The temperature probe itself is waterproof, suitable for use in water or outdoor environments. Note: The main panel is NOT waterproof and must be placed indoors.

- 2.4G Wi-Fi Support: Connects via 2.4G Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n). 5G Wi-Fi is not supported.

3. Setup
3.1 Powering On
Connect the provided DC5V power adapter to the temperature panel and plug it into a standard power outlet. The device will power on automatically.
3.2 App Installation and Pairing
- Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store for Android, Apple App Store for iOS).
- Register or log in to your account within the app.
- Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. (5GHz networks are not supported).
- In the app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to put the temperature sensor into pairing mode. This usually involves pressing and holding the pairing key on the device until an indicator light flashes.
- Select the device type (e.g., "Temperature Sensor" or "Sensor") and proceed with the network configuration as guided by the app.

3.3 Probe Placement
The external probe is designed to be placed in the environment where temperature monitoring is required. This includes freezers, water tanks, pools, greenhouses, or other areas. Remember that while the probe is waterproof, the main temperature panel is not and should be positioned indoors or in a dry, protected location.

4. Operation
4.1 Real-Time Supervision
Once connected to your Wi-Fi network, you can view the real-time temperature from the sensor anytime, anywhere, using the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. The app provides a clear display of the current temperature.

4.2 Temperature Unit Switching
Within the app, you can easily switch the temperature display unit between Fahrenheit (℉) and Celsius (℃) to suit your preference.
4.3 Setting Temperature Alarms
The device supports setting upper and lower temperature limits. If the detected temperature falls outside this predefined range, the app will push an alarm alert to your mobile device, and the sensor's built-in buzzer will sound.
- Open the device in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
- Navigate to the settings or alarm section.
- Set your desired upper and lower temperature thresholds.
- Save the settings.

4.4 Multi-User Supervision
You can share access to your temperature sensor with other users through the app, allowing multiple individuals to monitor the temperature data simultaneously.

4.5 History Record and Data Export
The app stores historical temperature data, which you can review at any time. This data can also be exported from the app for further analysis.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean the main temperature panel, gently wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water. The probe can be cleaned with water as it is waterproof.
5.2 Battery Backup
The device includes a built-in rechargeable battery that provides backup power in case of an external power outage. This allows the sensor to continue functioning for several hours. Ensure the device is regularly powered by the DC5V adapter to keep the backup battery charged.

6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Common Issues
- Device Offline in App:
- Ensure the device is powered on and connected to the DC5V adapter.
- Check your Wi-Fi router and internet connection.
- Verify that the device is within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- If issues persist, try re-pairing the device with the app.
- No Alarm Notifications:
- Confirm that alarm thresholds are correctly set in the app.
- Check your phone's notification settings to ensure the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app has permission to send notifications.
- Ensure the device is online and communicating with the app.
- Inaccurate Temperature Readings:
- Ensure the probe is fully immersed or correctly positioned in the area to be measured.
- Avoid placing the probe near heat sources or in direct sunlight if measuring ambient temperature.
- Device Not Connecting to 5G Wi-Fi:
- This device only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal and your phone is connected to it during setup.
