The Ufesa Sensazione is a fully automatic coffee machine designed to prepare espresso and cappuccino from both whole coffee beans and ground coffee. It features a compact design, integrated grinder, and intuitive touch panel controls.
Important Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.
- Read all instructions before use.
- Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to your mains voltage.

- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- Scalding may occur if the water tank lid is removed during the brewing cycle.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Ensure all components are present.
- Placement: Place the machine on a stable, level surface away from heat sources and water. Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine.
- Water Tank Filling: Remove the water tank (1.4-liter capacity) and fill it with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level. Reinsert the tank securely.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Initial Rinse Cycle: Before first use, perform an initial rinse cycle to clean the internal circuits. Follow the on-screen prompts or refer to the 'First Use' section in the operating instructions.
Operating Instructions
Control Panel Overview

The touch control panel allows for easy selection of various coffee types and functions. Icons represent Espresso, Lungo, Hot Water, Steam, and cleaning/descaling options.
Preparing Coffee from Whole Beans
- Fill Bean Hopper: Open the lid of the coffee bean hopper and pour whole coffee beans into it. Do not overfill.

- Adjust Grinding Level: The integrated grinder has 5 adjustable positions. Turn the knob inside the bean hopper to select your desired grinding fineness. A finer grind results in a stronger coffee.
- Select Coffee Type: Place a cup under the coffee spout. On the touch panel, select "Espresso" or "Lungo" according to your preference.
- Adjust Coffee Intensity/Volume: The machine allows for adjustment of coffee aroma intensity (3 levels) and water volume. Refer to the user interface for specific adjustments.
- Start Brewing: Press the selected coffee button to start the brewing process. The machine will grind the beans and dispense the coffee.
Preparing Coffee from Ground Coffee
- Open Ground Coffee Compartment: Locate the ground coffee compartment, usually next to the bean hopper.

- Add Ground Coffee: Add one level scoop of pre-ground coffee into the compartment. Do not add more than one scoop to avoid blockages.
- Select Coffee Type: Place a cup under the coffee spout. On the touch panel, select the desired coffee type (e.g., Espresso). The machine should detect the ground coffee.
- Start Brewing: Press the selected coffee button to start brewing.
Frothing Milk (Cappuccino)
- Prepare Milk: Fill a pitcher with cold milk.
- Activate Steam Function: On the touch panel, select the "Steam" icon. Wait for the machine to heat up to the correct temperature.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the steam wand into the milk. Open the steam knob (if present) or press the steam button to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
- Clean Steam Wand: After frothing, immediately clean the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying. Briefly release steam to clear any internal blockages.
Hot Water Dispensing
To dispense hot water for tea or other beverages, place a cup under the hot water spout (or steam wand if it doubles as one) and select the "Hot Water" icon on the touch panel.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your coffee machine.
Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray and Coffee Grounds Container: Empty and rinse the drip tray and coffee grounds container daily or when prompted by the machine.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Steam Wand: Clean immediately after each use as described in the "Frothing Milk" section.
Weekly Cleaning (Brewing Unit)
The Ufesa Sensazione features "Friendly Clean Care technology" for easy removal of the brewing unit.
- Power Off: Ensure the machine is turned off and unplugged.
- Remove Brewing Unit: Open the side access door. Press the release buttons (if any) and carefully pull out the brewing unit.

- Rinse: Rinse the brewing unit thoroughly under lukewarm running water until all coffee residues are removed. Do not use detergents.
- Dry and Reinsert: Allow the brewing unit to air dry completely before reinserting it into the machine. Ensure it clicks into place securely.
Descaling
The machine will prompt you when descaling is required. Use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling agent and the machine's display prompts.
- Regular descaling prevents limescale buildup and maintains optimal heating performance.
- The frequency of descaling depends on water hardness and usage.
Troubleshooting
