6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Care

Regularly charge the battery. When using dual batteries, ensure both are fully charged to the same level for optimal performance and longevity. Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6.2 Brake System

Inspect hydraulic disc brakes and rotors regularly for wear. Ensure brake levers are responsive and that the brake pads are not excessively worn. Replace worn components as needed.

6.3 Tire Care

Check tire pressure before each ride. The 20x4.0 Chao Yang fat tires are durable but can be damaged by sharp objects. Inspect tires for cuts or punctures regularly.

6.4 General Cleaning

After riding, especially in sandy or wet conditions (e.g., beach rides), clean the bike thoroughly with warm, soapy water to prevent rust and corrosion. Avoid spraying water directly into electrical components.

6.5 Frame Inspection

Periodically inspect the high-strength steel pipe frame for any signs of damage, cracks, or stress. Address any issues promptly to ensure structural integrity.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check if the battery is charged and properly seated. Ensure all electrical connections are secure.
  • Motor Not Engaging: Verify the riding mode and pedal assist level. Check throttle connection.
  • Brake Issues: Inspect brake pads and rotors for wear. Ensure hydraulic fluid levels are adequate.
  • Controller Overheating: During strenuous use (e.g., deep sand, steep climbs), the controller may overheat and reduce power. Allow the bike to cool down before continuing.

For persistent issues, consult the main user manual or contact customer support.
