3. Setup

The Hosmart UltraSpeak Intercom System is designed for quick and easy setup. No complex pairing or configuration is required.

  1. Power Connection: Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the intercom unit's Type-C port. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The intercom units are corded electric and do not operate on batteries.
  2. Placement: Place each intercom unit in your desired location within the communication range. Ensure they are plugged into a power source.
  3. Automatic Connection: Once powered on, the intercom units will automatically connect. They are pre-configured for immediate use.

4.1 Basic Communication (Full-Duplex)

  • To initiate a conversation, simply press the desired channel button (1-6) or the 'GROUP' button.
  • Speak naturally into the intercom.
  • To end a call, press the 'TALK' button again or the phone icon button.

Each intercom unit can be assigned a unique channel (1-6) or operate on a group channel. This allows for one-to-one communication or broadcasting to multiple units.

  • To select a specific channel for communication, press the corresponding number button (1-6) on the keypad.
  • To broadcast to all connected intercoms, press the 'GROUP' button.

4.3 Volume Adjustment

Adjust the listening volume using the 'VOL+' and 'VOL-' buttons located on the intercom unit.

4.4 Monitored Function

The 'MONITORED' function allows for continuous audio monitoring of a specific room or area. This feature is particularly useful for monitoring children or elderly family members.

  • To activate the monitored function, press the 'MONITORED' button.
  • The unit will continuously transmit audio from its location to the receiving unit.
  • To deactivate, press the 'MONITORED' button again.
