Important Safeguards

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the appliance and all packaging materials. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
- Placement: Place the appliance on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface, away from walls and other heat-sensitive materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Power Connection: Ensure the appliance is unplugged before placing it. The unit operates on 110 Volts.
Operating Instructions
Preheating the Appliance:
- Close the lid of the appliance.
- Plug the power cord into a standard 110V electrical outlet. The red power indicator light will illuminate, indicating the appliance is receiving power.
- The green heating indicator light will also illuminate, indicating the appliance is preheating.
- Allow the appliance to preheat for approximately 3-5 minutes. The green light will turn off when the desired cooking temperature is reached, indicating it is ready for use. The green light may cycle on and off during cooking to maintain temperature.

Cooking with the Appliance:
Once preheated, the SOKANY SK-223 can be used for various cooking tasks:
- Grilling Meats/Vegetables: Open the lid. Carefully place food items such as steaks, chicken, or vegetables onto the bottom cooking plate. Close the lid. The floating hinge design allows for even pressure on thicker items. Cook until desired doneness is achieved.
- Panini/Sandwich Making: Place your assembled sandwich or panini onto the bottom cooking plate. Close the lid, pressing down gently to ensure even contact. Cook until the bread is toasted and fillings are heated through.
Cooking times will vary depending on the type of food, thickness, and desired doneness. Monitor food closely to prevent overcooking.

After Cooking:
- Carefully remove cooked food using heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick coating.
- Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.
- Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SOKANY SK-223 appliance.
- Always Unplug: Ensure the appliance is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
