4. Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure the power is OFF at the circuit breaker. This timer switch is designed for standard wall boxes and requires a neutral wire. If you do not have a neutral wire, this device is not compatible with your wiring.
4.1 Wiring Diagram
Refer to the diagram below for proper wiring. The timer supports both single-pole and 3-way applications. Connect wires securely using wire nuts (not included).
- Black Wire: Connect to the Line (hot) wire from the circuit breaker.
- Red Wire: Connect to the Load wire (to the light/fan).
- White Wire: Connect to the Neutral wire.
- Green Wire: Connect to the Ground wire.
- For 3-way installations, one of the red wires will be a traveler wire. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure.

5. Setup and Programming
The timer switch has a blue back-lit LCD screen and several buttons for easy programming. Lift the small cover at the bottom of the switch to reveal the programming buttons.

5.1 Setting Current Time and Day
- Press the SET button. The time display will flash.
- Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the hour. Press SET to confirm.
- Adjust minutes using UP and DOWN, then SET to confirm.
- Adjust the current day of the week (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU) using UP and DOWN, then SET to confirm.
5.2 Programming ON/OFF Schedules
The timer allows up to 7 unique ON/OFF pairings per week. Each program can be set for specific days, weekdays, or weekends.
- Press the PROGRAM button. "ON PRG 1" will appear.
- Use UP and DOWN to set the desired ON time for Program 1. Press SET.
- Use UP and DOWN to select the days for Program 1 (e.g., MO TU WE TH FR SA SU for daily, or specific days). Press SET.
- "OFF PRG 1" will appear. Use UP and DOWN to set the desired OFF time for Program 1. Press SET.
- Repeat steps 2-4 for additional programs (up to 7). Press HOME to exit programming mode.
5.3 Astronomic Feature (Sunrise/Sunset)
The astronomic feature automatically adjusts ON/OFF times based on your geographic location's sunrise and sunset times. This eliminates the need for manual adjustments due to seasonal changes or daylight saving time.

- To activate, press the SUNRISE/SUNSET button. The display will show a sun or moon icon.
- To set the astronomic ON/OFF times within a program, select the desired program number. Instead of a specific time, select the sunrise or sunset option using the SUNRISE/SUNSET button.
- The timer will automatically calculate and adjust the ON/OFF times daily based on its internal astronomic clock.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Manual Override
You can temporarily override the programmed schedule at any time. Press the large ON/OFF (Power) button to manually turn the connected device ON or OFF. The timer will resume its programmed schedule at the next scheduled event.

6.2 Random Function (Security Feature)
Activate the random function to vary your programmed schedule slightly, creating a "lived-in" look to deter potential intruders. This feature is particularly useful when you are away from home.

- Press the MODE/DEL button repeatedly until "RANDOM" appears on the display.
- The timer will now randomly adjust your programmed ON/OFF times by a few minutes each day.
- To deactivate, press MODE/DEL again until "RANDOM" disappears.
6.3 Countdown Timer
The countdown timer allows you to set the connected device to turn ON or OFF after a specified duration.
- Press the COUNTDOWN/TIME button.
- Use UP and DOWN to set the desired countdown duration (e.g., 1 hour, 30 minutes).
- Press SET to start the countdown. The device will turn ON/OFF after the set time.
7. Maintenance
The TOPGREENER Digital Astronomic Timer Switch requires minimal maintenance. To clean the surface, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
