Setup Guide

Initial Setup

Upon first powering on your Pixel 8 Pro, follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, connect to Wi-Fi, and sign in with your Google Account. You can transfer data from an old device using the Quick Switch Adapter.

SIM Card Installation

Locate the SIM tray on the side of your device. Insert the SIM Tray Ejector into the small hole next to the tray to open it. Place your Nano-SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing down. Carefully push the tray back into the phone until it clicks into place.

Power On/Off

To power on, press and hold the Power button (located on the right side of the phone) until the Google logo appears. To power off, press and hold the Power button until the power menu appears, then tap 'Power off'.

Fingerprint and Face Unlock Setup

During initial setup, you will be prompted to set up Fingerprint Unlock and Face Unlock for enhanced security. Follow the on-screen instructions to register your fingerprints and face. These biometric methods provide quick and secure access to your device.

Navigation

The Pixel 8 Pro uses intuitive gesture navigation. Swipe up from the bottom to go home, swipe up and hold to view recent apps, and swipe from the left or right edge to go back. You can also enable traditional 3-button navigation in Settings.

Battery Management

The Pixel 8 Pro is equipped with a 5050 mAh battery, designed to last over 24 hours on a single charge. It supports fast charging (up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 30W USB-C charger, sold separately) and wireless charging. To optimize battery life, enable Adaptive Battery in settings, which learns your usage patterns and prioritizes power for apps you use most.

Connectivity

Your Pixel 8 Pro supports 5G cellular technology, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC. To connect to Wi-Fi, go to Settings > Network & internet > Internet. For Bluetooth devices, go to Settings > Connected devices. NFC allows for contactless payments and quick pairing with compatible accessories.

Cleaning
