1. Introduction

The SEQURE S99 Portable Soldering Iron is a high-performance, compact welding tool designed for precision soldering tasks. It features rapid heating capabilities, a wide temperature range, and multiple power input options (DC/PD/PPS) to adapt to various working environments. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your S99 soldering iron.

2. Safety Information

  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, when operating the soldering iron.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation in your workspace to avoid inhaling solder fumes.
  • The soldering iron tip reaches very high temperatures. Avoid direct contact with skin or flammable materials.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

4. Setup

  1. Attach the Soldering Tip: Carefully insert the BC2 soldering tip into the CNC stainless steel mounting port of the S99 controller. Ensure it is fully seated.
  2. Connect Power: The S99 supports DC, PD, and PPS power inputs. Connect a compatible power supply (DC9V-21V for 2.5Ω tips, DC11-21V for 5.5Ω tips) to the Type-C interface. The maximum power output is up to 150W (with 2.5Ω tip) or 75W (with 5.5Ω tip).
  3. Initial Power-On: Once connected, the OLED display will illuminate, showing the current temperature, protocol status, target temperature, power status, power progress bar, soldering iron mode, and supply voltage.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Temperature Control

  • The S99 heats up rapidly, reaching soldering temperature in approximately 2 seconds (with a 2.5Ω, 21V power supply).
  • Adjust the temperature from 122°F to 932°F (50°C to 500°C) using the control buttons. The HD OLED display provides accurate temperature readings.
  • The device supports 3 modes: work, sleep, and standby. These modes help conserve energy and extend tip life.
