3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the endoscope's built-in battery using the provided USB to Micro USB Cable. Connect the Micro USB end to the charging port on the device and the USB-A end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or computer USB port. A full charge provides approximately 4 hours of continuous operation.

3.2 Inserting the TF Card

The endoscope comes with a built-in 32GB TF Card for storing photos and videos. Ensure it is properly inserted into the TF card slot before use. If replacing, use a compatible Micro SD card (TF card).

3.3 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power Button (refer to Figure 2.2) to turn the device on or off. The LCD screen will illuminate upon successful power-on.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Switching Viewing Modes (Dual Lens)

The DS300 features dual lenses. To switch between viewing modes (front camera, side camera, or split screen), press the dedicated FOV 70° button (often labeled with a camera icon or 'M' for mode, refer to Figure 2.2). This allows for versatile inspection without needing to attach a side mirror.

4.2 Capturing Photos and Videos

To capture a photo, press the Photo/Video button (camera icon, refer to Figure 2.2) once. To start video recording, press and hold the Photo/Video button. Press and hold again to stop recording. Captured media is saved to the inserted TF card.

4.3 Adjusting LED Lights

The 7 LED lights on the camera probe can be adjusted for brightness. Use the Brighten lights (+) and Dim lights (-) buttons (refer to Figure 2.2) to cycle through the 3 adjustable brightness levels, ensuring optimal illumination for your inspection area.

4.4 Camera Orientation and Cable Use

The camera orientation can be rotated 180° for better observation. The 16.5FT semi-rigid cable can be bent and will hold its shape, allowing you to maneuver the camera probe into various narrow and complex spaces. The front camera focal range is 3-8cm (1.2-3.1in), and the side camera focal range is 2-6cm (0.8-2.4in).

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Probe

The camera probe is IP67 waterproof, allowing it to be used in wet environments. After use, especially in dirty or oily conditions, gently wipe the camera lens and probe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main display unit in water.

5.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.

5.3 Storage

Store the endoscope and its accessories in a clean, dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Ensure the cable is not kinked or tightly wound to prevent damage.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Device Not Powering On or Charging

  • Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the provided USB cable and allow sufficient charging time.
  • Check the USB cable and charging adapter for any damage. Try a different cable or adapter if available.
  • Press and hold the power button for several seconds to ensure it's not just a brief press.
  • If the device has a reset button (refer to Figure 2.2), use a thin object (like a paperclip) to press it and reset the device.

6.2 Image Quality Issues

  • Clean the camera lens carefully with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Adjust the LED light brightness to suit the inspection environment.
  • Ensure the camera is within the optimal focal range (Front: 3-8cm / 1.2-3.1in; Side: 2-6cm / 0.8-2.4in).
  • Check for any obstructions or debris on the lens.

6.3 Cannot Save Photos/Videos

  • Verify that the TF card is properly inserted into the slot.
  • Check if the TF card has sufficient free space.
  • Ensure the TF card is not locked (if it has a physical lock switch).
  • Try formatting the TF card (this will erase all data, so back up important files first).
