- LCD Display: Shows time, date, day of the week, and temperature.
- SET Button: Used to enter time/date/alarm setting mode.
- UP/DOWN Buttons: Used to adjust values during setting, and to switch between 12/24-hour format or Celsius/Fahrenheit.
- ALARM ON/OFF Button: Activates or deactivates the alarm.
- SNOOZE/LIGHT Button: Activates the snooze function when the alarm sounds, or illuminates the display backlight.
- Battery Compartment: Located on the back, for battery installation.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the unit.
- Insert the required batteries (e.g., 2 x AAA, not included) according to the polarity indicators (+ and -) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- The display will light up, and the clock will be ready for initial setup.
2. Setting Time and Date
- Press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds until the hour digits start flashing.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press SET again to confirm the hour and move to setting the minutes.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Continue pressing SET to cycle through and set the year, month, and day using the UP or DOWN buttons for adjustment.
- After setting the day, press SET one last time to exit the setting mode.
3. Setting Temperature Unit (Celsius/Fahrenheit)
In normal time display mode, press the DOWN button to toggle between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units.
4. 12/24-Hour Format Selection
In normal time display mode, press the UP button to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats.
Operating Instructions
1. Setting the Alarm
- Press the SET button once (short press) to display the current alarm time.
- While the alarm time is displayed, press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds until the alarm hour digits start flashing.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press SET again to confirm the alarm hour and move to setting the alarm minutes.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press SET one last time to exit the alarm setting mode.
2. Activating/Deactivating the Alarm
Press the ALARM ON/OFF button to toggle the alarm function. An alarm icon (bell symbol) will appear on the display when the alarm is active and disappear when it is off.
3. Snooze Function and Backlight
- Snooze: When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after approximately 5 minutes.
- Backlight: In normal display mode, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to illuminate the display for a few seconds.
4. Stopping the Alarm
To stop the alarm completely after it sounds (without snooze), press any button other than the SNOOZE/LIGHT button, or let it ring for its full duration (typically 1 minute) after which it will automatically stop and reset for the next day.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: When the display dims or functions become erratic, replace the batteries with new ones. Ensure correct polarity.
- Storage: If the unit will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
