Setup

  1. Mounting the Unit

    Choose between the Long-armed Suction Cup Mount or the 3M Sticky Mount based on your preference and vehicle dashboard. Both options allow for flexible placement and stable positioning.

    • Long-armed Suction Cup: Ideal for windshield or smooth dashboard surfaces. Ensure the surface is clean before applying. Press down the lever to secure the suction cup.
    • 3M Sticky Mount: Provides a more permanent attachment to the dashboard. Clean the surface thoroughly, peel off the adhesive backing, and firmly press the mount into place.

    The unit can be rotated 360 degrees and adjusted vertically for optimal viewing angles.

  2. Power Connection

    Connect the provided car charger to the unit's Type-C port and plug the other end into your vehicle's power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). The unit will power on automatically.

  3. Backup Camera Installation (Optional)

    The included 1080P backup camera can be installed for real-time reverse view functionality. This process typically involves routing the camera cable from the rear of the vehicle to the main unit and connecting the red wire to the vehicle's reverse light power source. Professional installation is recommended for optimal performance and safety.

Operating Instructions

1. Connecting to Car Audio

The unit offers four methods to output audio to your car's sound system:

  • Bluetooth (BT) Audio: Connect your phone directly to the original car's Bluetooth system. This method is primarily for CarPlay/Android Auto audio.
  • AUX Audio: Connect the provided AUX cable from the unit's AUX output to your car's AUX input. Switch your car's audio system to AUX mode.
  • FM Audio: Tune the unit to an unused FM frequency. Then, tune your car's FM radio to the same frequency to receive audio from the unit.
  • Native Audio: The unit has a built-in speaker for direct audio output.

2. Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Connection

This unit supports both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration.

  1. On the unit, select the CarPlay or Android Auto icon.
  2. On your smartphone, turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
  3. Search for the unit's Bluetooth name (e.g., "XXXX_XXXX") and pair.
  4. Confirm the connection on both devices. CarPlay or Android Auto will launch automatically.

3. Phone Mirroring (AirPlay / Miracast)

Mirror your smartphone screen to the unit using AirPlay (for iOS) or Miracast (for Android).

  1. On the unit, select the AirPlay or Miracast icon.
  2. On your smartphone, turn on Wi-Fi.
  3. For iOS: Go to Control Center, select Screen Mirroring, and choose the unit's name.
  4. For Android: Go to Smart View/Screen Cast (naming may vary) and select the unit's name.

4. GPS Navigation

Access real-time navigation by connecting the unit to Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot. Compatible navigation apps include Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps, and Sygic.

5. Dash Cam Features

The unit functions as a dual dash cam system, recording both front and rear views (with optional backup camera connected).

  • Ultra HD Recording: The front camera captures 4K Ultra HD video with a 160° wide-angle lens. The rear camera captures 1080P Full HD video with a 120° wide-angle lens.
  • Seamless Loop Recording: Ensures continuous recording by overwriting the oldest footage when the memory card is full. A 64GB MicroSD card is included for immediate use.
  • Real-Time Reverse View: When engaging reverse gear, the screen automatically switches to the rear camera view with adjustable parking assist lines.
  • ADAS Technology (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems): Enhances driving safety with features like Front Vehicle Starts Moving, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. An additional GPS antenna is required to activate ADAS features.

6. Voice Control

Utilize voice commands through Apple CarPlay (Siri) or Android Auto (Google Assistant) for hands-free operation of navigation, calls, music, and more.

7. Wi-Fi Connection and App Control

Connect the unit to Wi-Fi to enable app control features. The "Road Cam" app (available on iOS and Android) allows you to view recordings, track GPS data, and manage settings directly from your smartphone.

Maintenance

  • Cable Management: Ensure all cables are securely routed and not interfering with driving controls.

Troubleshooting
