FOUNCY D52-2066 Din Rail AC Monitor Instruction Manual

Model: D52-2066

Brand: FOUNCY

1. Introduction

The FOUNCY D52-2066 is a guide rail type digital display multi-function meter designed to simultaneously display six key electrical parameters. This instrument utilizes a color full-view high-definition LCD to present real-time measurements of AC voltage, AC current, active power, power factor, frequency, and electric energy (KWH).

2. Product Overview

The D52-2066 monitor provides comprehensive electrical monitoring capabilities, displaying the following parameters:

  • AC Voltage
  • AC Current
  • Active Power
  • Power Factor
  • Frequency
  • Electric Energy (KWH)

The device features a 'RESET' button on the front panel, primarily used for clearing the accumulated electric energy (KWH) reading.

3. Setup and Installation

The D52-2066 is designed for standard Din Rail mounting. Ensure the main power supply is disconnected before commencing any installation or wiring procedures to prevent electrical shock.

3.1 Mounting

Attach the meter securely onto a standard 35mm Din Rail. The integrated clip mechanism on the back of the device facilitates easy and secure mounting.

3.2 Wiring

Connect the AC voltage input to terminals 1 and 2. For current measurement, an external Current Transformer (CT) is required. Connect the CT to terminals 3 and 4. Ensure correct polarity for accurate current readings.

3.3 Important Voltage Range Selection Note

The D52-2066 is available in different voltage measurement ranges. It is crucial to select the correct variant for your application:

  • For measuring AC 110V or 220V, use the AC 40-300V variant.
  • For measuring AC 380V, use the AC 200-450V variant.

Using the AC 200-450V variant to measure a 220V supply will result in inaccurate readings. Ensure your chosen meter variant matches your intended voltage measurement range.

This instrument is designed for pure AC 45-65Hz city power supplies only. It is not suitable for square wave, inverter output, or modified sine wave circuits.

For simultaneous measurement of ABC three-phase voltage, the AC 40-300V variant must be used, and the system must include a neutral line. Three separate units would be required for this application.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the D52-2066 is correctly installed and powered, it will automatically begin displaying the measured electrical parameters on its LCD screen. The measurement data refreshes approximately twice per second.

4.1 Resetting Electric Energy (KWH)

To reset the accumulated electric energy (KWH) reading, press and hold the 'RESET' button located on the front panel. Continue holding the button until the KWH value on the display clears to zero. Releasing the button will allow the accumulation to restart from zero.

5. Maintenance

The FOUNCY D52-2066 is designed for reliable operation and requires minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the unit in water.
  • Environment: Ensure the meter is installed in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, humidity, and corrosive gases.
  • Servicing: Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself. Unauthorized servicing may lead to electrical hazards and will void any potential warranty.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your D52-2066 monitor, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:

  • Inaccurate Readings: If voltage or current readings appear incorrect, first verify that the meter variant (AC 40-300V or AC 200-450V) matches your power supply voltage. For example, using a 200-450V meter on a 220V line will yield inaccurate results. Also, ensure the external CT is correctly connected with proper polarity.
  • No Display: Check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and correctly terminated. Confirm that the main power supply is active and within the specified operating voltage range for your meter variant.
  • KWH Not Resetting: Ensure the 'RESET' button is pressed and held for a sufficient duration (several seconds) until the KWH value on the display clears. A brief press may not be enough.
  • No Current Reading: Verify that the external Current Transformer (CT) is properly installed around the live wire and correctly connected to terminals 3 and 4 of the meter.
