1. Introduction and Overview
The MEEBOOK M7 is an advanced e-Book reader designed for an optimal reading experience. Featuring a 6.8-inch 300PPI HD E-Ink screen, it provides clear and comfortable viewing, mimicking the feel of real paper. This device runs on Android 11, offering flexibility for installing various third-party applications, including access to the Google Play Store. It comes equipped with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, expandable up to 1TB via a Micro SD card slot, ensuring ample space for your digital library.

2. Setup
2.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge your MEEBOOK M7. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the device's charging port and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
2.2 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button (located on the top edge) for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until a power-off menu appears, then select "Power Off".
- To Sleep/Wake: Briefly press the power button to put the device into sleep mode or wake it up.
2.3 Initial Configuration
Upon first power-on, you will be guided through the initial setup process. This typically includes:
- Language Selection: Choose your preferred system language.
- Wi-Fi Connection: Connect to a Wi-Fi network to enable internet access for downloading content and updates.
- Time and Date Settings: Configure the correct time zone and date.
- Google Account Setup (Optional): Sign in with your Google account to access the Google Play Store and synchronize services.

3. Operating the Device
3.1 Navigation and Controls
The MEEBOOK M7 features both a responsive touchscreen and physical buttons for navigation.
- Touchscreen: Tap to select, swipe to scroll, pinch to zoom.
- Physical Buttons: Use the dedicated page-turning buttons on the side for convenient reading. These buttons can also be configured for other functions.
3.2 Reading Experience with ZReader
The device comes with the ZReader application, offering a fresh and customizable reading experience.
- Multi-language & Font Settings: Adjust fonts and language settings to your preference.
- Reading Direction: Supports landscape reading and free reading direction, allowing you to switch between left and right-hand use.
- Reading Progress Display: Monitor your reading progress within books.
- Personal Reading Adjustment: Customize various aspects of your reading layout.

3.3 Adjusting Screen Light and Color Temperature
The MEEBOOK M7 features adjustable cold and warm lighting to suit different environments and reduce eye strain.
- Brightness Adjustment: Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the quick settings panel and adjust brightness.
- Color Temperature Adjustment: Within the quick settings or display settings, you can adjust the balance between cold (bluish) and warm (yellowish) light.
- Gesture Control: Hold the edge of the screen (right/left side) to switch on the light, then slide to adjust brightness and color temperature. More gesture controls can be found in Settings > User Settings > Gesture Operation Custom Settings.

3.4 Storage and Connectivity
- Internal Storage: The device comes with 32GB of internal memory for storing books and applications.
- TF Card Expansion: Expand storage up to 1TB using a Micro SD (TF) card inserted into the dedicated slot.
- Wi-Fi: Connect to 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi networks for internet access, content downloads, and updates.
- Bluetooth: Connect to Bluetooth headphones or speakers for audio playback.
- Type-C Port: Used for charging, data transfer, and OTG (On-The-Go) functionality.
3.5 Installing and Optimizing Apps (e.g., Kindle App)
As an Android device, the MEEBOOK M7 supports installing third-party applications from the Google Play Store. Some apps, like the Kindle app, may benefit from specific optimizations for E-Ink screens.
- Long press the Kindle app icon.
- Choose "Optimization".
- Click "Volume flipping settings".
- Back to Kindle app, click the font size settings to set more.
- Click "Turn Pages with Volume Controls".

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Device
- Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth, slightly dampened with water or a screen cleaner, to gently wipe the E-Ink screen. Avoid excessive pressure or abrasive materials.
- Body: Wipe the device body with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
4.2 Battery Care
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), as this can affect battery life and performance.
- For long-term storage, charge the battery to about 50% before turning off the device.
- Use only the provided or recommended charging cables.
4.3 Software Updates
Periodically check for software updates in the device settings. Updates can provide new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes. Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has sufficient battery life before initiating an update.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Device Not Turning On:
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a charger for at least 30 minutes.
- Perform a forced restart by holding the power button for 10-15 seconds.
- Screen Freezes or Responds Slowly:
- Restart the device.
- Close background applications.
- If the issue persists, consider a factory reset (backup your data first).
- Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues:
- Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled in settings.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router.
- Forget the network and reconnect.
- Cannot Access Google Play Store:
- Ensure you are signed in with a Google account.
- Check your internet connection.
- Clear the cache and data for the Google Play Store app in settings.
- TF Card Not Detected:
- Ensure the TF card is inserted correctly.
- Try a different TF card to rule out card issues.
- Restart the device.
