  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the freezer is connected to a grounded electrical outlet with the correct voltage. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs. Avoid placing the power cord under the freezer or in areas where it could be damaged.
  • Placement: Position the freezer on a firm, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and extreme cold. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  • Ventilation: Maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space around the back and sides of the freezer for proper air circulation.
  • Child Safety: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • Defrosting: Never use sharp or metallic objects to remove frost from the freezer. Use plastic scrapers or follow the manual defrosting instructions.

Setup Guide

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape. Remove any protective film from the exterior surfaces. Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage. If damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact customer support.

2. Placement

Place the freezer on a strong, level floor that can support the unit when fully loaded. Ensure there is sufficient space around the freezer for proper ventilation (at least 4 inches on sides and back). Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources like stoves or heaters. This model is designed to operate efficiently in various environments, including garages and basements, with ambient temperatures as low as 23°F.

3. Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the interior and exterior of the freezer with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

4. Power Connection

After placement and cleaning, allow the freezer to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it into a power outlet. This allows the refrigerant fluids to settle, preventing potential damage to the cooling system. Plug the freezer into a dedicated, grounded 115V/60Hz electrical outlet.

5. Initial Operation

Once plugged in, the freezer will begin to cool. Set the adjustable thermostat to your desired temperature. It is recommended to allow the freezer to run for several hours (e.g., 4-6 hours) empty before loading it with food to ensure it reaches the optimal freezing temperature.

Operating Instructions

1. Temperature Control

The freezer features an adjustable thermostat located on the front of the unit. Turn the dial to select a temperature setting between -10°F and 10°F. A lower number indicates a warmer temperature, while a higher number indicates a colder temperature. Adjust the setting based on your storage needs and ambient conditions.

2. Loading the Freezer

For efficient freezing, avoid overloading the freezer. Distribute items evenly to allow cold air to circulate. The included removable wire basket can be used to organize smaller items or frequently accessed foods, keeping them visible and easily accessible.

The D-type refrigeration tube and aluminum interior facilitate rapid freezing, preserving the freshness, texture, and flavor of your food. For optimal quick freezing, ensure the lid is closed securely after adding items.

4. Lid Operation

The freezer features a balanced hinge that allows the lid to stay open between 45° and 90°. This hands-free design provides convenience when loading or unloading items.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
  • Interior: For routine cleaning, unplug the freezer and remove all food items. Wash the interior with a solution of baking soda and warm water (2 tablespoons baking soda to 1 quart water). Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  • Gasket: Clean the door gasket regularly to ensure a tight seal.

2. Defrosting

Over time, frost will accumulate inside the freezer. For optimal performance, defrost the unit when the frost layer is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.

  1. Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
  3. Place a shallow pan or towel under the drain plug located on the front of the freezer.
  4. Open the drain plug to allow water to escape.
  5. Keep the freezer lid open to speed up the defrosting process. You can also place bowls of hot water inside (ensure they are stable and do not touch plastic surfaces) to accelerate melting.
  6. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
  7. Close the drain plug, plug the freezer back in, and allow it to cool for several hours before returning food.

Caution: Do not use boiling water or electric heating devices to defrost the freezer. Do not use sharp or metallic instruments to scrape off frost, as this can damage the cooling coils.

3. Removable Basket

The wire basket can be easily removed for cleaning or to access items stored below it. Wash with mild soap and water, rinse, and dry before returning to the freezer.
