2. Setup

2.1. Inserting Your Nintendo Switch Console

1. Ensure your Nintendo Switch console is powered off or in sleep mode.
2. Align the USB-C port of your Switch with the USB-C connector inside the Nitro Deck.
3. Gently slide the Switch console into the Nitro Deck until it clicks securely into place. The console should sit flush within the deck.

2.2. Removing Your Nintendo Switch Console

1. Locate the release slider on the back of the Nitro Deck.
2. Push the slider upwards to disengage the locking mechanism.
3. While holding the slider up, gently slide the Nintendo Switch console out of the Nitro Deck.

2.3. Enabling Pro Controller Wired Communication (for Wired Mode)

To ensure your Nintendo Switch recognizes the Nitro Deck as a controller, you must enable Pro Controller Wired Communication in the Switch's system settings:

1. From the Nintendo Switch Home Menu, select System Settings.
2. Scroll down the left-hand menu and select Controllers and Sensors.
3. Scroll down and select Pro Controller Wired Communication to turn it On.

3. Operating Modes

3.1. Handheld Mode

Activating Wired Mode:

1. Connect a USB-C cable to the Output port on the back of your Nitro Deck.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a USB port on your Nintendo Switch dock or your PC.
3. Once the CRKD LED on the Nitro Deck lights up white, press and hold both the left and right thumbsticks down simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds.
4. The CRKD LED will turn orange, indicating that the Nitro Deck is now in Wired Mode.

Deactivating Wired Mode (Returning to Handheld Mode):

1. While in Wired Mode, press and hold both the left and right thumbsticks down simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds.
2. The CRKD LED will turn white, indicating that the Nitro Deck has returned to Handheld Mode. You can then remove the USB-C cable from the Output port.

4. Features

4.1. Zero Stick Drift Hall Effect Thumbsticks

The Nitro Deck is equipped with Hall effect thumbsticks, which use magnets and electrical current to detect position, eliminating physical contact wear and tear. This design prevents stick drift, ensuring precise and reliable control throughout the lifespan of your controller.

4.2. Swappable Thumbstick Toppers

Remapping Back Buttons:

1. Locate the PROG button on the back of the Nitro Deck and hold it down.
2. The CRKD LED will flash purple. You have 10 seconds to input the button(s) you wish to program. You can program single inputs or a sequence of inputs (e.g., A, B, X).
3. After inputting your desired button(s), press the specific back button (S1, S2, S3, or S4) you want to assign them to.
4. The CRKD LED will turn white, indicating successful programming.

Resetting Back Buttons to Standard Programming:

1. To reset a single back button: Hold down the PROG button until the CRKD LED flashes purple, then press the specific back button you want to reset. The LED will turn white.
2. To reset all back buttons: Hold down the PROG button for 5 seconds. The CRKD LED will flash purple, then turn solid purple, and finally turn white. The Nitro Deck will vibrate to confirm.

Clearing Back Button Bindings (No Function):

If you prefer a back button to have no function:

1. Hold down the PROG button for 7 seconds.
2. The CRKD LED will flash purple, then turn solid purple, and finally turn white. The Nitro Deck will vibrate to confirm that all back buttons have been cleared of any programming.

The Turbo function allows you to assign a button to rapidly spam inputs while held down.

Activating Turbo Mode:

1. Hold down the ZL button and the Minus (-) button simultaneously until the CRKD LED flashes green.
2. The LED will flash at the current turbo speed. You can adjust this speed by pressing the Plus (+) button to increase speed or the Minus (-) button to decrease speed. The Nitro Deck will vibrate when at the fastest or slowest setting.
3. Once you've selected your desired speed, press the button you wish to apply Turbo to.
4. The CRKD LED will remain a solid green, indicating that Turbo Mode is active for the selected button.

Deactivating Turbo Mode:

1. Hold down the ZL button and the Minus (-) button simultaneously again.
2. The CRKD LED will flash green and then turn white, indicating that Turbo Mode has been deactivated.

4.5. Pass-Through Charging

The Nitro Deck features a pass-through charging port, allowing you to charge your Nintendo Switch console while it is inserted in the deck. This ensures uninterrupted gaming sessions.

To Charge Your Switch:

1. Connect a USB-C cable to the Input port on the back of your Nitro Deck.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a power source.
3. Your Nintendo Switch will begin charging.
