  • L-in: Connect to the Live wire from the power source.
  • N-in: Connect to the Neutral wire from the power source.
  • L-out: Connect to the Live wire of the light fixture.
  • N-out: Connect to the Neutral wire of the light fixture.
  • S1/S2: Connect to your traditional wall switch. These terminals can be connected to a rocker light switch or left unconnected if using only app/voice control.
  • For 2-way switching, connect the module to one of the two switches in the circuit.

5.2 Wiring Diagram for DC Power

For DC power installations (DC15-250V), follow these diagrams. Pay close attention to positive (+) and negative (-) connections.

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Solution
Device not pairing/connecting to Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. 5GHz networks are not supported.
  • Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the installation location.
  • Verify the Wi-Fi password entered is correct.
  • Reset the smart switch module to pairing mode (refer to app instructions).
  • Consider setting up a dedicated 2.4GHz SSID if your router combines 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands under one name.
Device frequently disconnects or shows offline.
  • Improve Wi-Fi signal strength (e.g., move router closer, use a Wi-Fi extender).
  • Ensure your router's 2.4GHz band is stable and not congested.
  • If your router uses a single SSID for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, create a separate 2.4GHz SSID for smart devices.
Traditional switch not working after installation.
  • Verify the S1/S2 connections to the traditional switch are correct according to the wiring diagram.
  • Ensure the traditional switch itself is functioning correctly.
Voice control not responding.
  • Check if the Smart Life/Tuya Smart account is correctly linked to Alexa/Google Home.
  • Ensure the device name used in voice commands matches the name in the app.
  • Verify your Alexa/Google Home device is online and functioning.

9. Maintenance

  • Regularly check for firmware updates through the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Clean the exterior of the device (if accessible) with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Avoid exposing the module to direct sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
