2. Setup
2.1 Charging the Battery
The EAS-3002 features a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB charging cable.
- Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the DC 5V input port on the back of the radio.
- Connect the large end of the USB cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
The radio can also operate using 4 x AA batteries (not included) for extended portable use. Insert batteries into the compartment on the back, ensuring correct polarity.

2.2 Antenna Setup
For optimal AM/FM reception, extend the telescoping antenna located on the back of the unit. Adjust its position for the best signal clarity.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off and Volume Control
Locate the power/volume knob on the side of the radio. Rotate it clockwise to turn the unit on and increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and turn the unit off.
3.2 AM/FM Radio Operation
- Turn the radio on using the power/volume knob.
- Select either 'AM' or 'FM' band using the band selector switch, usually located on the top or side.
- Rotate the tuning knob to scan for available radio stations. The frequency dial will indicate the current station.
- Adjust the telescoping antenna for optimal reception.

3.3 Bluetooth Connectivity
Stream audio wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
- Turn the radio on and select 'BT' (Bluetooth) mode using the band selector switch. The radio will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED.
- On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select 'EAS-3002' from the list of devices to pair. Once connected, a steady LED light will indicate successful pairing.
- You can now play audio from your device through the radio.

3.4 USB/SD Card Playback
Play your personal digital music collection directly from a USB flash drive or SD card.
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
- The radio should automatically switch to USB/SD mode and begin playback. If not, select 'USB/SD' mode using the input selector.
- Use the radio's controls (if available) or your connected device to navigate tracks.

3.5 AUX Input
Connect external audio devices using the 3.5mm AUX input.
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX input jack on the radio.
- Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- Select 'AUX' mode on the radio.
- Play audio from your external device.

3.6 Headphone Jack
For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm headphones into the headphone jack located on the side of the radio. The internal speaker will automatically mute.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
4.2 Battery Care
If using external AA batteries, remove them if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage. For the built-in Lithium-Ion battery, charge it periodically to maintain its lifespan, even if not in regular use.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 No Power
- Ensure the power/volume knob is turned clockwise to the 'ON' position.
- If using the built-in battery, ensure it is charged. Connect the USB charging cable.
- If using external batteries, check if they are inserted correctly and are not depleted. Replace if necessary.
5.2 Poor Radio Reception
- Fully extend the telescoping antenna.
- Adjust the position and direction of the antenna for the best signal.
- Move the radio to a different location, away from potential interference sources like other electronic devices.
5.3 Bluetooth Not Connecting
- Ensure the radio is in 'BT' mode and in pairing mode (flashing LED).
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your external device.
- Ensure your device is within 30 feet of the radio.
- If previously paired, try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
