Taking a Measurement
The OxiPro TH1 automatically detects the mode based on whether the magnetic cap is attached or removed.
1. Forehead Mode (Cap Attached)
This mode is suitable for measuring body temperature from the forehead, for both adults and children. It is a non-contact method.
- Ensure the magnetic cap is securely attached to the probe.

Interpreting Results with Color-Coded Backlight
The OxiPro TH1 features a smart color-coded backlight system to help you quickly understand the temperature reading:
- Green Backlight: Indicates a normal temperature.
- Orange Backlight: Indicates a slightly raised temperature.
- Red Backlight: Indicates a fever.
Refer to medical guidelines for specific temperature ranges that define normal, raised, or fever conditions.
Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the thermometer body with a soft, dry cloth. For the probe, especially after in-ear use, gently wipe with an alcohol swab or a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol. Allow to air dry completely before storage. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
- Storage: Store the thermometer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep the magnetic cap on the probe when not in use to protect the sensor.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
