4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the non-stick surfaces of the grill and hot pot with a damp cloth. Wash the tempered glass lid, skewers, and tongs with warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Placement: Place the appliance on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Connect Temperature Probes: Insert the two detachable temperature control probes firmly into their respective sockets on the appliance. Ensure they are fully seated.
  5. Power Connection: Ensure the temperature control knobs are set to the "OFF" position before plugging the appliance into a standard 110V AC electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The VEVOR Electric Grill Hot Pot features independent dual temperature controls for the hot pot and grill sections.

  1. Power On: After setup, plug the appliance into a 110V AC power outlet.
  2. Temperature Control: Each section (hot pot and grill) has its own temperature control knob with 5 speed settings. Turn the knob clockwise from "OFF" to select your desired heating level.
    • The hot pot section has a 1200W heating tube.
    • The grill section has a 1000W heating tube.
    • The appliance features an overheating protection system: it will automatically turn off when the temperature reaches 428℉ (220℃) and automatically turn on when it drops below 320℉ (160℃).
  3. Hot Pot Usage: Fill the hot pot section with your desired broth or water. Place ingredients into the boiling liquid. Use the tempered glass lid to retain heat and speed up cooking.
  4. Grill Usage: Lightly oil the grill surface if necessary (though it is non-stick). Place food directly onto the grill. The oil leakage port will filter out excess oil into the collection tray below, reducing smoke.
  5. Adjusting Heat: Adjust the temperature knobs as needed during cooking to maintain the desired heat for different foods.
  6. Power Off: Once cooking is complete, turn both temperature control knobs to the "OFF" position and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. Allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning or storing.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VEVOR Electric Grill Hot Pot, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Appliance does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the appliance and a working 110V outlet.
    • Check if the temperature control knobs are turned to an "ON" setting.
    • Verify that the electrical outlet is functioning by testing it with another appliance.
  • Uneven heating or appliance turns off during use:
    • The appliance has an automatic overheating protection feature. It will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature range (320℉-428℉). This is normal operation.
    • Ensure the appliance is not overloaded with food, which can affect even heating.
    • Confirm that the power supply is stable and sufficient for a 2200W appliance. Using the appliance on a circuit with other high-power devices may cause issues.
  • Excessive smoke:
    • Ensure the oil leakage port is clear and the oil collection tray is properly positioned to collect excess oil.
    • Avoid using excessive oil on the grill surface.
    • Some smoke is normal, especially when cooking fatty foods.
  • Food sticks to the non-stick surface:
    • Ensure the surface is clean and free of old residue before cooking.
    • Use a small amount of cooking oil or spray, especially for foods prone to sticking.
    • Avoid using metal utensils that can damage the non-stick coating.
