6. Maintenance

  • Dust Removal: Regularly clean dust from the graphics card fans and heatsink using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Driver Updates: Keep your graphics drivers updated to ensure optimal performance and compatibility. Check the official GIGABYTE or AMD website periodically for new driver releases.
  • Environmental Conditions: Operate the graphics card in a well-ventilated environment to prevent overheating. Maintain a stable room temperature.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Display Output:
    • Ensure the monitor is connected to the graphics card, not the motherboard's integrated graphics.
    • Verify that the PCIe power cables are securely connected to the graphics card.
    • Check if the graphics card is fully seated in the PCIe slot.
    • Test with a different display cable or monitor if possible.
  • Performance Issues / Low FPS:
    • Ensure the latest graphics drivers are installed.
    • Check system temperatures using monitoring software (e.g., AMD Adrenalin) to rule out thermal throttling.
    • Verify that your power supply meets the minimum wattage requirement.
    • Close unnecessary background applications.
  • Fan Noise:
    • High fan speeds are normal under heavy load to maintain optimal temperatures.
    • Ensure no cables or obstructions are interfering with the fans.
    • Clean dust from the fans and heatsink.
    • Adjust fan curves in AMD Adrenalin software if desired, but be mindful of temperature implications.
  • System Instability / Crashes:
    • Ensure all drivers (chipset, graphics) are up to date.
    • Check for system memory (RAM) issues.
    • Verify power supply stability.
    • If overclocking, revert to default settings.
