Setup and Assembly

The Milex Corded Stick Vacuum can be assembled in two configurations: as a stick vacuum or as a handheld vacuum.

Assembling the Stick Vacuum:

  1. Insert the extension stick firmly into the main vacuum unit until it clicks into place.
  2. Attach the floor brush head to the other end of the extension stick, ensuring it is securely fastened.
  3. Ensure the dust cup and filter are correctly installed in the main unit.

Assembling the Handheld Vacuum:

  1. Detach the extension stick from the main vacuum unit if it is already assembled.
  2. Directly attach the floor brush head or the crevice tool/small brush to the main vacuum unit.
  3. Ensure the dust cup and filter are correctly installed.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your Milex Corded Stick Vacuum.

  1. Ensure the vacuum is correctly assembled for your desired cleaning task (stick or handheld).
  2. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (AC 220-240V, 50/60Hz).
  3. Locate the ON/OFF switch on the main vacuum unit.
  4. Press the switch to the 'ON' position to start the vacuum.
  5. Begin vacuuming the desired surface. For optimal performance, move the vacuum slowly and steadily.
  6. When finished, press the switch to the 'OFF' position and unplug the power cord from the outlet.

Note: This is a corded vacuum cleaner. Always ensure the power cord is safely managed during operation to prevent tripping hazards and damage to the cord.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.

Emptying the Dust Cup:

  1. Ensure the vacuum is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the quick-release button for the dust cup on the main vacuum unit.
  3. Press the quick-release button to detach the dust cup.
  4. Hold the dust cup over a waste bin and empty its contents.
  5. Reattach the dust cup to the main unit, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

Cleaning the Reusable Sponge Filter:

  1. After emptying the dust cup, remove the sponge filter from inside the dust cup.
  2. Rinse the sponge filter under cool, running water until the water runs clear.
  3. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it into the dust cup. Do not use the vacuum with a wet filter.
  4. Once dry, place the filter back into the dust cup and reattach the dust cup to the main unit.

Recommendation: Clean the filter after every 3-5 uses, or more frequently if vacuuming fine dust or pet hair, to maintain strong suction.
