1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient use of your TTfone TT170 Dual SIM mobile phone. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device and keep it for future reference. The TT170 is designed for ease of use, featuring dual SIM card support, a clear display, and essential mobile phone functionalities.

2. Setup

2.1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the notch on the bottom edge of the phone.
  2. Carefully pry open the back cover using the notch.
  3. Align the battery contacts with the phone's terminals and gently press the battery into place.
  4. Replace the back cover, ensuring it clicks securely into position.

2.2. SIM Card Installation

The TT170 supports two SIM cards (Dual SIM functionality).

  1. Ensure the phone is powered off and the battery is removed.
  2. Locate the SIM card slots. There are two slots, typically labeled SIM1 and SIM2.
  3. Insert your SIM cards into the respective slots with the gold contacts facing down and the cut corner aligned as shown in the diagram.
  4. Reinsert the battery and replace the back cover.

2.3. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the phone's battery.

  1. Connect the charger cable to the charging port on the phone.
  2. Plug the other end of the charger into a power outlet.
  3. The battery indicator on the screen will show the charging status.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power/End Call button (red button) until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/End Call button until the power off options appear, then select "Power off".

3.2. Making and Receiving Calls

  • Making a Call:
    1. From the home screen, enter the phone number using the keypad.
    2. Press the Call button (green button) to initiate the call.
    3. If using Dual SIM, the phone may prompt you to select which SIM to use for the call.
  • Receiving a Call:
    1. When a call comes in, the phone will ring and display the caller's number or name.
    2. Press the Call button to answer.
    3. To end a call, press the Power/End Call button.

3.3. Sending and Receiving Messages (SMS)

  • Sending a Message:
    1. From the main menu, navigate to "Messages".
    2. Select "Write message" or "New SMS".
    3. Enter your message using the keypad.
    4. Enter the recipient's phone number or select from contacts.
    5. Select "Send".
  • Receiving a Message:
    1. When a new message arrives, an alert will appear on the screen.
    2. Navigate to "Messages" and select "Inbox" to read it.

3.4. Contacts

  • Adding a Contact:
    1. From the main menu, select "Contacts" or "Phonebook".
    2. Choose "Add new contact".
    3. Enter the name and phone number, then save.
  • Searching for a Contact:
    1. From "Contacts", use the navigation keys to scroll or type the first few letters of the contact's name.

3.5. Menu Navigation

Use the directional navigation keys (up, down, left, right) and the central OK button to navigate through the phone's menu. The left and right soft keys (buttons directly below the screen) perform actions indicated on the screen above them.

3.6. FM Radio

The TT170 includes a built-in FM radio.

  1. From the main menu, select "FM Radio".
  2. Use the navigation keys to scan for stations or manually tune to a frequency.
  3. Ensure headphones are connected as they often act as the antenna.

3.7. Voice Recorder

Record voice memos or conversations.

  1. From the main menu, select "Tools" or "Multimedia", then "Voice Recorder".
  2. Press the OK button to start recording.
  3. Press OK again to stop and save the recording.

3.8. Calendar

Manage your schedule with the integrated calendar.

  1. From the main menu, select "Calendar".
  2. Use the navigation keys to browse dates and add events.

3.9. Pre-loaded Game

The phone comes with a pre-loaded game for entertainment.

  1. From the main menu, select "Games".
  2. Choose the game and follow the on-screen instructions to play.

3.10. Dual SIM Management

To manage your two SIM cards:

  1. Navigate to "Settings" from the main menu.
  2. Select "Dual SIM settings" or "SIM management".
  3. Here you can enable/disable SIMs, set default SIM for calls/messages, or configure network settings for each SIM.

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the phone's screen and body. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care:
    • Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures.
    • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
    • If the phone will not be used for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% before storing.
  • Storage: Store the phone in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

5. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Solution
Phone does not power on.Ensure the battery is correctly installed and fully charged. Try charging the phone for at least 30 minutes.
Cannot make or receive calls.Check if the SIM card(s) are properly inserted. Verify that you have network signal. Ensure your account has sufficient credit or an active plan.
No network signal.Move to an open area. Check SIM card installation. Go to "Settings" > "Network Settings" and try to manually select a network.
Battery not charging.Ensure the charger is properly connected to both the phone and the power outlet. Try a different power outlet or charger if available. Check for any damage to the charging port.
Keypad not responding.Restart the phone. Ensure no foreign objects are obstructing the keys.
