1. Introduction

The GMKtec Mini PC Intel Alder Lake N100 (Model G3) is a compact and powerful computing solution designed for various applications, from office work and home entertainment to light gaming and server tasks. This manual provides detailed instructions to help you get the most out of your new mini PC.

4. Product Overview (Features)

4.1. Processor and Performance

The GMKtec Mini PC is powered by the 12th Gen Intel Alder Lake N100 processor, featuring 4 Cores and 4 Threads with a 6MB cache, capable of burst speeds up to 3.4GHz. This processor offers improved performance and energy efficiency compared to previous generations, making it suitable for daily computing tasks, office applications, and home entertainment.

4.2. Memory and Storage

The Mini PC comes pre-installed with 8GB of DDR4 RAM (2933 MHz, expandable up to 32GB) and a 512GB M.2 2242 SSD. It also supports M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 2280 SSD (max 2TB) and M.2 2242 SATA for additional storage expansion.

4.3. Connectivity

4.6. Cooling System

4.7. Compact Design and VESA Mount

The GMKtec Mini PC features a micro-size design, making it highly portable and space-saving. It is approximately 45% smaller than traditional mini PCs. A VESA mount is included, allowing you to attach the PC to the back of a monitor or a wall for a clutter-free workspace.

5. Setup Guide

Follow these steps for initial setup of your GMKtec Mini PC:

1. Connect to a Display: Connect one or two monitors to the HDMI ports on the back of the Mini PC using the provided HDMI cable(s).
2. Connect Peripherals: Plug in your USB keyboard and mouse into the available USB 3.2 ports.
3. Connect to Network (Optional): For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the RJ45 port. For wireless, you can configure Wi-Fi after initial boot.
4. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC 12V 3A port on the Mini PC, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
5. Power On: Press the power button on the front of the Mini PC. The power indicator light will illuminate.
6. Initial Windows Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 11 Pro setup, including language, region, network connection, and user account creation.

6. Operating Instructions

Your GMKtec Mini PC runs on Windows 11 Pro, offering a familiar user experience. Here are some basic operating tips:

• Power On/Off: Press the power button once to turn on. To shut down, click the Start button, then Power > Shut down. A short press of the power button can also put the PC to sleep.
• Restart: To restart the system, click the Start button, then Power > Restart.
• Connecting to Wi-Fi: After booting, click the network icon in the taskbar, select your Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and connect.
• Using Multiple Displays: Once both monitors are connected, Windows should automatically detect them. You can configure display settings (extend, duplicate, etc.) by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "Display settings".
• USB Devices: Simply plug in your USB devices (external hard drives, flash drives, printers, etc.) into the available USB ports. Windows will typically install necessary drivers automatically.
• Audio: Connect speakers or headphones to the 3.5mm audio jack or use HDMI for audio output to your monitor/TV. Adjust volume via the Windows taskbar.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Mini PC:

• Keep it Clean: Regularly wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Use compressed air to gently clear dust from the ventilation holes.
• Software Updates: Keep your Windows operating system and drivers updated to the latest versions for security and performance improvements.
• Avoid Overheating: Ensure the Mini PC is placed in a well-ventilated area. Do not cover the vents.
• Safe Shutdown: Always shut down the system properly through the operating system to prevent data corruption.
• Data Backup: Regularly back up important data to an external drive or cloud storage.
