1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

• Read all instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or coffee machine in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• Scalding may occur if the water tank lid is removed during the brewing cycles.

4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Unpacking

Before first use, clean the water tank, drip tray, and cup shelf with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

4.3 Filling the Water Tank

1. Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
2. Fill the tank with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX mark.
3. Place the water tank back onto the machine, ensuring it is securely seated.

4.4 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (230V). The machine will enter standby mode.

4.5 Rinsing Cycle (Before First Coffee)

Perform a rinsing cycle without a capsule to clean the internal system.

1. Place an empty cup under the coffee spout.
2. Press any coffee button (e.g., Caffè Crema button).
3. The machine will dispense hot water. Repeat this process 2-3 times.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Making Coffee (Espresso, Caffè Crema, Coffee)

Your Cafissimo Pure Plus machine uses a patented three-pressure brewing system to ensure optimal preparation for each coffee type.

1. Ensure the water tank is filled.
2. Open the brewing head lever.
3. Insert a Tchibo Cafissimo capsule into the designated slot.
4. Close the brewing head lever firmly.
5. Place a cup of appropriate size on the drip tray. Adjust the cup shelf if needed for taller cups (up to 15.4 cm).
6. Press the button corresponding to the desired coffee type (Espresso, Caffè Crema, or Coffee). The machine will automatically brew the coffee.
7. Once brewing is complete, open the brewing head lever to eject the used capsule into the internal container.
8. Close the lever.
