Assembly of your Marsail Executive Office Chair is designed to be straightforward and typically takes about 10-20 minutes. Follow these steps carefully:
- Attach Casters to Base: Insert the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the chair base. Push firmly until they click into place.
- Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the central hole of the assembled chair base.
- Attach Mechanism to Seat: Align the mechanism plate with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Secure it with the provided screws, ensuring the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat.
- Attach Armrests to Seat: Secure the armrests to the sides of the seat cushion using the designated screws. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Attach Backrest: Connect the backrest to the seat cushion and armrests using the remaining screws. Once all screws are in place, tighten all screws on the armrests and backrest evenly.

Operating Instructions
Height Adjustment
To adjust the chair's height, locate the lever on the right side, under the seat. While seated, pull the lever up to lower the chair. To raise the chair, stand up slightly and pull the lever up. Release the lever at your desired height to lock it in place.

Recline Function
The chair offers a recline function from 90° (upright) to 120° (relaxed). To recline, pull the same lever used for height adjustment outwards to unlock the tilt mechanism. Lean back to your desired angle. Push the lever inwards to lock the chair in that position. To return to an upright position, lean forward slightly and pull the lever outwards, then release it when upright.

Flip-Up Armrests
The armrests are designed to flip up 90° to allow the chair to be pushed further under a desk, saving space, or to provide more unrestricted movement. Simply lift the armrests upwards until they lock into the vertical position. To return them to the down position, gently pull them down.

Swivel and Rolling
The chair features a 360° swivel function, allowing for easy rotation. The smooth-rolling casters enable effortless movement across hard floor surfaces.
Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your Marsail Executive Office Chair:
- Cleaning: Wipe the chair clean with a damp cloth. For tougher spots, use a mild soap solution and then wipe dry. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the PU leather.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten any loose hardware to maintain stability and safety.
- Caster Care: Regularly inspect the casters for hair, dust, or debris that may impede smooth rolling. Clean them as needed.
- Environment: Keep the chair away from direct sunlight and extreme heat sources, which can cause the PU leather to fade or crack over time.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Marsail Executive Office Chair, refer to the following common problems and their solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chair wobbles or feels unstable | Loose assembly screws or bolts. | Check and tighten all screws and bolts, especially those connecting the backrest, armrests, and mechanism to the seat. |
| Gas lift not adjusting height | Gas lift not properly seated or defective. | Ensure the gas lift is fully inserted into both the base and the mechanism. If the issue persists, the gas lift may be defective; contact customer support. |
| Difficulty rolling or casters stuck | Debris (hair, dust) caught in casters. | Turn the chair over and carefully remove any obstructions from the caster wheels. |
| Armrests do not flip up/down smoothly | Mechanism obstruction or misalignment. | Check for any foreign objects near the armrest pivot points. Ensure armrest screws are not overtightened, allowing for smooth movement. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact Marsail customer support for further assistance.
