4. Setup & Installation
The Faber HOB PRIME HT704 is designed for flexible installation as either a built-in hob or a freestanding cooktop. Professional installation by a qualified technician is highly recommended to ensure safety and proper functioning.
Dimensions for Built-in Installation:
Refer to the diagram below for the precise dimensions required for built-in installation. Ensure sufficient clearance around the appliance for ventilation and maintenance.

Gas Connection:
The appliance must be connected to the gas supply by a qualified and registered gas fitter. Ensure the gas type matches the appliance specifications. Check for leaks using soapy water after connection.
Electrical Connection:
The auto-ignition system requires a DC1.5 V power supply. Ensure the electrical connection is made according to local regulations and safety standards.
5. Operating Instructions
Igniting a Burner:
- Place your cookware on the cast iron pan support over the desired burner.
- Push down and turn the corresponding metal knob counter-clockwise to the 'Ignite' position.
- The auto-ignition will spark, lighting the burner. Hold the knob down for a few seconds to allow the flame supervision device to activate.
- Once lit, adjust the flame to your desired intensity by turning the knob between the 'High' and 'Low' settings.
- To turn off, turn the knob clockwise to the 'Off' position.

Burner Usage:

6. Cleaning & Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your hob and ensure its continued safe operation.
Cleaning the Glass Surface:
- Allow the hob to cool completely before cleaning.
- Use a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for glass cooktops.
- Wipe spills immediately to prevent staining, especially sugary or acidic foods.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or sharp objects that could scratch the glass.

Cleaning Burner Components:
