3. Setup Guide

3.1. Component Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your DUDUPET Automatic Pet Feeder:

1. Open the Lid: Press the lid release button and lift the top cover of the feeder.
2. Install Desiccant: Locate the desiccant compartment under the lid. Insert the provided desiccant bag to help keep food fresh. Replace every 30 days for optimal freshness.

3. Install Feeding Bowl: Attach the stainless steel feeding tray to the base of the feeder. Ensure it is securely seated.
4. Fill with Dry Food: Pour dry pet food into the food storage container. The feeder has a 4L capacity. Ensure kibble size is between 3-10mm to prevent clogging.

   Important: Do not use any kibble over 10mm, as it may get stuck inside the feeder and prevent food dispensing.
5. Close the Lid: Securely close the top lid.

3.2. Power Supply

The feeder supports dual power supply options:

• Primary Power: Connect the provided 5V DC power adapter to the feeder and a wall outlet.
• Backup Power: For uninterrupted feeding during power outages, insert 3 D-size alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment at the bottom of the feeder.

It is recommended to use both power sources to ensure your pet is fed even if the main power supply is interrupted.

3.3. Wi-Fi Connection and App Setup

The DUDUPET feeder connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for remote control. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.

1. Download the App: Search for "DUDUPET" or the specified app name in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
2. Create Account: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new user account.
3. Add Device:
   • Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
   • Power on the feeder.
   • In the app, select "Add Device" or the equivalent option.
   • Follow the app's instructions to connect the feeder to your Wi-Fi network. This typically involves entering your Wi-Fi password and confirming the feeder's status light.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Scheduling Meals

Use the DUDUPET app to set up a customized feeding schedule for your pet:

• Open the app and select your feeder device.
• Navigate to the "Schedule" or "Feeding Plan" section.
• Add new feeding times. You can typically set 1-10 meals per day.
• For each meal, specify the number of portions (1-15 portions per meal). One portion is approximately 7±2g.
• Save your schedule. The feeder will automatically dispense food at the programmed times.

4.2. Manual Feeding

You can dispense food manually at any time:

• Via App: In the app, go to the "Feed Now" section and select the number of portions you wish to dispense. Confirm the action.
• Via Feeder Button: Press the manual feed button on the feeder (if available, refer to device layout). This will typically dispense one portion.

4.3. Voice Recording

Record a 10-second voice message to call your pet at meal times:

• Locate the record button on the feeder (or within the app).
• Press and hold the button to begin recording your message. The feeder supports up to 10 seconds of recording.
• Release the button to save the recording. This message will play automatically before each scheduled meal.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning the Feeder

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and proper functioning. The feeder components are designed for easy disassembly and cleaning.

1. Disassemble: Unplug the feeder and remove the food storage container, lid, and stainless steel bowl.
2. Clean: Wash the stainless steel bowl and the food storage container with warm soapy water. The main unit should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the main unit in water.
3. Dry: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling.
4. Reassemble: Put the components back together in reverse order of disassembly.

Care Instructions: Hand Wash Only for removable parts.

5.2. Desiccant Bag Replacement

To maintain food freshness, replace the desiccant bag every 30 days.

• Open the feeder lid.
• Remove the old desiccant bag from its compartment.
• Insert a new desiccant bag.
• Close the lid securely.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Food Not Dispensing

• Check Kibble Size: Ensure the dry food kibble size is between 3-10mm. Larger kibble can cause blockages.
• Check for Obstructions: The feeder has an anti-clog design and an infrared sensor to prevent food jamming. If food is not dispensing, check the dispenser outlet for any obstructions.

6.2. Wi-Fi Connection Issues

• 2.4GHz Network: Confirm your Wi-Fi router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal and your phone is connected to it during setup. The feeder does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
• Router Proximity: Ensure the feeder is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
• Reset Feeder: Refer to the app or feeder instructions for how to reset the Wi-Fi connection and attempt pairing again.

• Internet Connection: Check your smartphone's internet connection.
• App Update: Ensure the DUDUPET app is updated to the latest version.
• Restart App: Close and reopen the app.
