5. Setup
5.1 Charging the Device
- Locate the USB charging port on the device.
- Connect the provided USB cable to the device and a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or computer USB port.
- The device will indicate charging status on the LCD screen. Ensure the device is fully charged before first use.
5.2 Initial Power On
After charging, press and hold the red Power Button (⏻) for a few seconds until the LCD screen illuminates. The device will perform a brief self-test before entering detection mode.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the red Power Button (⏻) until the display turns on.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the red Power Button (⏻) until the display turns off. The device also features an automatic shut-off after approximately 5 minutes of inactivity.
6.2 Understanding the Display
The LCD screen provides real-time information:
- Gas Concentration: Indicated by an analog bar that increases with higher gas concentration.
- Ambient Temperature: Displayed in Celsius (℃).
- Alarm Indicators: Visual cues for gas detection.
6.3 Backlight Function
Press the orange Backlight Button (☀) to toggle the display backlight on or off, improving visibility in low-light conditions.
6.4 Gas Detection and Alarm Modes
When the detector senses combustible gas, it will activate multiple alarm indicators:
- Analog Bar: The bar on the LCD screen will increase in length as the gas concentration rises.
- Buzzer: The audible alarm will accelerate in frequency with increasing gas concentration.
- Motor Vibration: The device will vibrate more intensely as the gas concentration increases.
- Backlight Color Change: The backlight will change color (e.g., to red) to provide a clear visual warning.

6.5 Detection Procedure
- Power on the device and allow it to stabilize for a few seconds.
- Slowly move the gas sensor tip towards the area where a gas leak is suspected.
- Observe the LCD display and listen for the buzzer. The analog bar, buzzer frequency, vibration intensity, and backlight color will indicate the presence and concentration of gas.
- If an alarm is triggered, identify the source of the leak and take appropriate safety measures.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.
7.2 Storage
Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged and recharge it periodically to maintain battery health.
