5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for safe and effective installation:
5.1 Mounting Location
Choose a suitable outdoor location for wall mounting. The recommended mounting height for optimal motion detection is 8-16 feet. Ensure the area is clear of obstructions that might interfere with the motion sensor's field of view.
5.2 Wiring
- Disconnect Power: Turn off the power at the circuit breaker before starting any wiring.
- Prepare Wires: Connect the household wiring to the flood light's wires according to local electrical codes. Typically, this involves connecting the live (black) wire, neutral (white) wire, and ground (green/bare copper) wire.
- Secure Connections: Use appropriate wire connectors and ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
5.3 Mounting the Fixture
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the wall using the provided screws and anchors.
- Mount Light Fixture: Attach the flood light fixture to the mounting plate, ensuring it is firmly secured.
- Adjust Light Heads: Adjust the three light heads to cover the desired lighting area. Each head can be adjusted vertically and horizontally.
- Adjust Motion Sensor: Position the motion sensor for optimal detection coverage. It can be adjusted to achieve a 180° sensing angle.

6. Operating Instructions
The iMaihom flood light can be controlled using the included remote. Ensure the remote has working batteries.
6.1 Remote Control Overview

Image 6.1: RF Remote Controller functions for easy operation.
- PIR Function: Low/High sensing distance, 1Min/5Min/10Min sensing delay.
- D2D Mode: Dusk-to-Dawn mode with 3H/6H/8H timing options.
- Always ON/OFF: Manual override for constant light.
- Brightness Adjustable: Adjust light intensity.
- Pairing: Buttons for pairing main and auxiliary lights, and canceling pairing.
6.2 Operating Modes
The flood light features three primary operating modes:
6.2.1 PIR Mode (Motion Sensor Mode)
In PIR mode, the light activates when motion is detected and turns off after a set delay if no further motion is sensed. This mode is ideal for security and energy saving.
- Press the PIR button on the remote to activate. The light will flash, entering test mode.
- Use Low/High to set sensing distance.
- Use 1Min/5Min/10Min to set the lighting delay time after motion stops.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your iMaihom flood light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power, incorrect wiring, remote battery dead, light in Always OFF mode. | Check circuit breaker. Verify wiring connections. Replace remote battery. Press 'Always ON' button. |
| Motion sensor not detecting. | Sensor obstructed, incorrect sensitivity setting, light in D2D or Always ON mode. | Clear obstructions. Adjust sensor angle. Set sensitivity to 'High'. Ensure light is in PIR mode. |
| Light stays on continuously. | Light in Always ON mode, D2D mode active, continuous motion detected. | Press 'Always OFF' or switch to PIR mode. Check D2D timing. Ensure no constant motion in sensor range. |
| Remote not working. | Dead battery, out of range, signal obstruction. | Replace remote battery. Move closer to the light. Ensure clear line of sight to the light's sensor. |
| Group connection not working. | Not in PIR mode, lights not properly paired, lights too far apart. | Ensure all lights are in PIR mode. Re-pair lights. Ensure lights are within 85ft (25m) of each other. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
