5. Maintenance

The 10-cup thermal carafe should be cleaned regularly with warm, soapy water. The brew basket and reusable filters are also easily removable for cleaning. Ensure all components are dry before reassembling.
5.2 Water Filter Replacement
The internal water filter should be replaced periodically to maintain optimal water quality and prevent mineral buildup. Refer to the filter's packaging for specific replacement intervals.
5.3 Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits can build up inside the coffee maker, affecting performance. Descale the unit regularly using a descaling solution or a vinegar-water mixture as per the detailed instructions in the full product manual (not provided here).
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Water leaking from reservoir base. | Water filter housing not screwed on perfectly or gasket not seated correctly. | Ensure water filter housing is screwed on tightly and the rubber gasket is perfectly seated. Test by filling reservoir over a sink before placing on unit. |
| Coffee tastes weak. | Incorrect grind setting, insufficient coffee, or incorrect strength setting. | Adjust grind setting to finer, increase coffee amount, or select a bolder strength setting on the control panel. |
| Grinds falling after brewing. | Residual grinds in the brew chamber. | After brewing, switch to full pot mode (if applicable) before opening the brew chamber to minimize drips. Place a paper filter under the brew basket to catch residual grinds. |
| Machine not brewing. | Insufficient water in reservoir, incorrect filter installed, or power issue. | Check water level. Ensure correct filter (carafe/mug) is installed. Verify power connection and try resetting the unit. |
