4. Setup and Installation

The TECKNET wireless doorbell offers two installation methods for the transmitter: adhesive mounting or screw mounting.

4.1. Receiver Setup

  1. Insert Batteries (if applicable): The receiver requires three AA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of the receiver and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Note: Some receivers are plug-in models and do not require batteries. Refer to your specific model.
  2. Plug In (for plug-in models): If your receiver is a plug-in model, simply plug it into a standard electrical outlet in your desired location. Ensure it is within the wireless range of the transmitter.

4.2. Transmitter Installation

Before installation, ensure the CR2032 battery is correctly installed in the transmitter. It is usually pre-installed.

Two methods of installing the TECKNET doorbell transmitter: adhesive and screw mounting

Image: A visual guide demonstrating two installation methods for the doorbell transmitter: using screws and wall plugs, or using double-sided adhesive tape.

Method 1: Adhesive Mounting

  1. Clean the desired mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is free of dust and grease.
  2. Peel off one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and apply it firmly to the back of the transmitter.
  3. Peel off the other side of the adhesive tape and press the transmitter firmly onto the cleaned surface for at least 30 seconds.

Method 2: Screw Mounting

  1. Open the back cover of the transmitter to access the screw holes.
  2. Mark the positions for drilling on the wall using the screw holes as a template.
  3. Drill two holes at the marked positions. Insert the wall plugs into the drilled holes.
  4. Align the transmitter's back cover with the holes and secure it with the provided screws.
  5. Attach the front part of the transmitter onto the secured back cover.

Important: Ensure the transmitter is installed in a location where it is easily accessible for visitors and within the wireless range of the receiver.

5. Operation

5.1. Pairing the Transmitter and Receiver

The transmitter and receiver are usually pre-paired at the factory. If they are not paired or if you add a new component, follow these steps:

  1. Plug in the receiver to a power outlet.
  2. Press and hold the Volume/Pairing button on the receiver for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a "ding-dong" sound and the RGB light flashes. This indicates the receiver is in pairing mode.
  3. Within 5 seconds, press the transmitter button once. The receiver will chime, indicating successful pairing.
  4. Test the doorbell by pressing the transmitter button. The receiver should chime with the selected melody and the RGB lights should flash.

5.2. Adjusting Volume and Melody
