Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Mixer: Carefully remove the hand mixer and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Clean Accessories: Before first use, wash the Turbo Beater Accessories in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. The accessories are dishwasher-safe.
  3. Insert Beaters: Ensure the mixer is unplugged. Insert the Turbo Beater Accessories into the openings on the underside of the mixer. One beater has a collar (or ridge) on its shaft; this beater should be inserted into the larger opening. Push firmly until they click into place.

Operating Instructions

The KitchenAid 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer offers precise control for various mixing tasks.

  1. Select Speed: Use the speed control slider located on the top of the mixer to select your desired speed from 1 to 5.
    • Speed 1 (Stir): Ideal for slowly stirring in chunky ingredients like nuts or chocolate chips, or for gently combining dry ingredients.
    • Speed 2 (Mix): Suitable for mixing batters, gravies, and sauces.
    • Speed 3 (Blend): For blending heavy mixtures, such as cookie dough or mashed potatoes.
    • Speed 4 (Beat): Use for beating eggs or light batters.
    • Speed 5 (Whip): Perfect for whipping egg whites, heavy cream, or meringues to stiff peaks.
  2. Start Mixing: Once the desired speed is selected, the mixer will begin operating. The soft start feature gradually increases the speed to prevent splattering.
  3. Mixing Technique: Guide the mixer through the ingredients, moving it slowly around the bowl. Avoid hitting the sides of the bowl with the beaters.
  4. Stop Mixing: Slide the speed control to the "OFF" position (0) to stop the mixer.
  5. Eject Beaters: With the mixer unplugged, press the eject button to release the Turbo Beater Accessories.
