2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up your power supply unit:

Identify Connections: Locate the 2-pin style connector on your recliner motor. This unit features a standard 2-pin connector (one round pin, one flat pin) designed to connect directly to compatible recliner motors.
Connect to Recliner Motor: Carefully align the 2-pin connector from the power supply unit with the corresponding port on your recliner motor. Push firmly until it is securely connected.
Connect Power Cord: Insert the standard power cord into the power supply unit's input port.
Plug into Wall Outlet: Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard, grounded electrical wall outlet.
Secure Placement: Place the power supply unit in a safe, dry location where it will not be stepped on or exposed to liquids. Ensure adequate ventilation.

5. Battery Backup Installation and Usage

The KDDY001B unit includes a battery backup feature to allow limited operation of your recliner during a power outage. This requires two 9V batteries (not included).

Open Battery Compartment: Locate the battery compartment on the power supply unit. Gently slide or unclip the cover to open it.
Insert Batteries: Insert two new 9V batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - terminals match the markings inside the compartment).
Close Compartment: Securely close the battery compartment cover.
Backup Operation: In the event of a power outage, the recliner will draw power from the installed 9V batteries. The battery backup is intended for temporary use to return the recliner to a seated position and is not for continuous operation.
Battery Replacement: Replace batteries periodically (e.g., every 6-12 months) or after extended use during a power outage to ensure readiness.

6. Operating Instructions

Once the power supply is correctly installed and connected to your recliner motor and a power outlet, your recliner is ready for use. Operate your recliner as you normally would using its integrated controls.

Ensure all connections are secure before operating the recliner.
The power supply unit will provide continuous power to the recliner motor when plugged into a live outlet.
In case of a power failure, the 9V battery backup will activate automatically, allowing for limited movement of the recliner.

7. Maintenance

Cleaning: Disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet before cleaning. Wipe the unit with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

8. Troubleshooting
