Setup

Unpacking

Carefully remove the air conditioner from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Ensure all accessories, including the window kit, washable filter, and remote control, are present.

Window Preparation

This unit is designed for standard double-hung windows that open up and down. Ensure your window is compatible and has access to a 3-prong grounded outlet. Remove any window screens before installation.

Installation Steps

  1. Open the window and remove the screen.
  2. Attach the included foam strips to the top and bottom sashes of the window to ensure a tight seal.
  3. Carefully lift the air conditioner and place it onto the window sill. The unit weighs approximately 35.5 pounds, so assistance may be required.
  4. Extend the accordion panels on both sides of the unit to fill the window opening.
  5. Lower the window sash firmly against the top of the air conditioner.
  6. Secure the unit using the provided screws and brackets to prevent accidental dislodgement. Ensure the unit is slightly tilted outwards to allow for proper water drainage.
  7. Plug the unit into a grounded 3-prong outlet.

Cleaning the Washable Filter

The unit is equipped with an easy-to-clean washable dust filter. A "Clean Filter" alert will illuminate on the control panel when it's time for cleaning.

  3. Carefully slide out the dust filter.
  4. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
  6. Close the front panel.
