Setup and Assembly

1. Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Inspect the slicer for any damage. Do not use if damaged.
  3. Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels.
  4. Clean all removable parts (blade, food carriage, food pusher) with warm soapy water before first use. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

2. Blade Installation

The slicer comes with two blades: one serrated and one smooth. Choose the appropriate blade for your slicing needs.

  1. Ensure the slicer is unplugged and the thickness adjustment knob is set to "0".
  2. Carefully align the chosen blade with the motor shaft.
  3. Press the blade firmly onto the shaft until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely seated.
  4. To remove the blade, press the blade release button (refer to Figure 4) and carefully pull the blade off.

3. Placement

  • Place the slicer on a clean, dry, and stable countertop.
  • Press down firmly on the top of the slicer to engage the suction cup feet, ensuring maximum stability during operation.

Operating Instructions

1. Before First Use

  • Ensure all parts are clean and dry.
  • Verify the blade is correctly installed and secured.
  • Confirm the slicer is stable on the countertop with suction feet engaged.

2. Adjusting Slice Thickness

The slicer allows for precise thickness adjustment from 0mm (paper-thin) to 15mm (thick cuts).

  • Turn the thickness adjustment knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to select the desired slice thickness. The scale indicates the approximate thickness in millimeters.
  • For best results with meat, it is recommended to chill or partially freeze the meat to a firm consistency before slicing.

3. Slicing Procedure

  1. Place the food item onto the food carriage.
  2. Use the food pusher to hold the food firmly against the food carriage and the thickness guide plate.
  3. Plug the slicer into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Switch the power button to the "ON" position. The blade will begin to rotate.
  5. Gently push the food carriage back and forth, guiding the food towards the rotating blade. Apply even pressure with the food pusher.
  6. Collect the sliced food from the receiving tray.
  7. After slicing, switch the power button to "OFF" and unplug the appliance.

4. Child Lock and Safety Switch

The slicer is equipped with a child lock switch for added safety. Always engage this switch when the appliance is not in use or during cleaning.

  • The power switch has an "ON" and "OFF" position. Ensure it is in the "OFF" position before plugging or unplugging.
  • The child lock is typically integrated with the power switch or a separate mechanism (refer to Figure 4 for visual). Always ensure it is activated to prevent accidental operation.

2. Blade Removal and Cleaning

Troubleshooting

Burning smell from motor. Motor overheating due to prolonged use or heavy load. Immediately turn off and unplug the slicer. Allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes before resuming use. Do not operate for more than 10 minutes continuously.
