1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the BRIO World 36035 Rescue Ambulance. This accessory is designed to integrate with existing BRIO World train sets, offering interactive play with light and sound features. It is suitable for children aged 3 years and up.

The set includes a rescue ambulance with working lights and sounds, a passenger wagon, and two character figures. It is designed to facilitate imaginative play scenarios, such as emergency response and patient transport within the BRIO World environment.

2. Package Contents

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Battery Installation/Replacement

The Rescue Ambulance requires 2 LR44 batteries for its light and sound functions. These batteries are included and pre-installed. To replace batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the ambulance.
2. Using a small screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
3. Remove the old batteries and insert two new LR44 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Securely close the battery compartment cover.

3.2 Connecting the Wagons

The Rescue Ambulance and its passenger wagon connect using magnetic couplings. Simply bring the magnetic ends of the vehicles together to form a train. These couplings are compatible with other BRIO World train components.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Activating Lights and Sounds

Press the button located on the top of the ambulance to activate the flashing lights and siren sounds. Pressing the button again will turn them off.

4.2 Placing Characters

The ambulance and passenger wagon feature hinged roofs that can be opened to place the character figures inside. The paramedic figure can be placed in the driver's seat of the ambulance, and the injured person figure can be placed in the passenger wagon.

4.3 Integration with BRIO World

The 36035 Rescue Ambulance is designed to be fully compatible with all other BRIO World railway components. It can be pushed along any BRIO wooden railway track.
