Maintenance
- SD Card Formatting: Regularly format the SD card (e.g., once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can typically be done through the dash cam's menu settings.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lenses and the dash cam screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for firmware updates to improve performance and add new features.
- Cable Management: Ensure all cables are securely routed and not interfering with driving controls or airbags.
Troubleshooting
- Dash Cam not powering on:
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car's power source. Check the car's cigarette lighter fuse if necessary.
- "SDC Error/Please format" message:
- This indicates an issue with the SD card. Try formatting the SD card through the dash cam's menu. If the issue persists, the SD card may be corrupted or faulty and require replacement.
- Poor video quality:
- Ensure the lenses are clean and free from smudges or dirt. Check the resolution settings in the menu to confirm it's set to 4K for the front camera and appropriate resolutions for interior/rear.
- Dash cam freezes or crashes:
- Try resetting the device (refer to the user manual for specific reset instructions). If the problem continues, try formatting the SD card or using a different high-speed SD card.
- Parking monitoring not working:
- Ensure the hardwire kit (not included) is correctly installed and connected to provide continuous power to the dash cam when the car is off.
