5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Foot Switch Operation
The M-VAVE Chocolate BT features four foot switches (A, B, C, D) for sending MIDI commands. Each switch can be programmed via the CubeSuite app to perform various functions, such as:
- Sending MIDI Note On/Off messages
- Sending MIDI Control Change (CC) messages
- Program Change messages
- Toggling effects or presets
- Page turning in supported applications
Refer to the CubeSuite app for detailed customization options for each foot switch.
5.2 Using the CubeSuite App
The CubeSuite app provides comprehensive control over your MIDI controller:
- Preset Management: Create, save, and load different configurations (presets) for your foot switches.
- Parameter Assignment: Assign specific MIDI messages or functions to each foot switch (A, B, C, D) and combination switches (E, F).
- Bank Switching: The app allows you to switch between different banks of presets, expanding the controller's versatility.
- Real-time Feedback: The display monitor (4) on the controller provides visual feedback on the current bank or preset.
To switch presets or operate effect switches and other functions, simply step on the corresponding foot switch as configured in the CubeSuite app.
5.3 Page Turner Functionality
The controller can function as a page turner for certain applications. Please note that it supports only a part of the Page Turner app functionalities. Configuration for page turning is typically done within the CubeSuite app or the specific page turner application you are using.
5.4 Expression Pedal Connection
The Pedal Connection port (12) allows you to connect an external expression pedal (not included) for continuous control over MIDI parameters, such as volume, wah, or modulation. Consult the CubeSuite app for configuring the expression pedal's function.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the controller. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% every few months.
- Avoid Moisture: Keep the controller away from water and other liquids to prevent damage.
