Operating Instructions

Temperature Adjustment:

The water heater features an adjustable temperature control dial located on the front of the unit. The temperature range is from 50°F (10°C) to 140°F (60°C).

  1. Ensure the unit is powered on. The "POWER" indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Rotate the dial clockwise to increase the temperature and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
  3. The "HEATING" indicator light will illuminate when the unit is actively heating water. It will turn off once the set temperature is reached.

WARNING:

Setting the temperature above 125°F (52°C) can cause severe burns. Exercise caution when setting higher temperatures, especially in households with children, elderly, or individuals with disabilities. Consider installing anti-scald devices at fixtures if higher temperatures are desired for other uses.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your water heater. Always disconnect power to the unit before performing any maintenance.

Draining the Tank:

If the unit will be unused for an extended period or if there is a risk of freezing, the tank should be drained.

  1. Turn off the electrical power to the water heater at the circuit breaker.
  2. Close the cold water supply valve to the unit.
  3. Open a hot water faucet at a nearby fixture to relieve pressure.
  4. Carefully open the T&P relief valve or connect a hose to the drain valve (if present) and route it to a suitable drain.
  5. Allow all water to drain from the tank.
  6. Once drained, close the T&P valve/drain valve and the hot water faucet.

Anode Rod Inspection:

The anode rod helps protect the tank from corrosion. It should be inspected annually and replaced if significantly depleted. This procedure should be performed by a qualified technician.

Cleaning:

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
