Assembly Instructions

Assembly is quick and easy with the included tools and step-by-step instructions. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps.

  2. Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled chair base.
  3. Attach Mechanism Plate to Seat: Align the mechanism plate with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Secure with the provided screws and Allen wrench. Ensure the adjustment lever faces the front of the seat.

Operating Instructions

Your Piper Swivel Task Chair is designed with several adjustable features to enhance comfort and support.

  • Height Adjustment: Locate the lever on the right side, beneath the seat. Pull the lever up to raise the seat. While seated, pull the lever up to lower the seat. Release the lever to lock the height.
  • 360° Swivel: The chair seat is designed to rotate freely 360 degrees.
  • Tilt Lock: The same lever used for height adjustment can also lock the chair's tilt. Push the lever inward to lock the chair in an upright position. Pull the lever outward to allow the chair to tilt.
  • Tilt Tension: A round knob located beneath the front of the seat controls the tilt tension. Turn clockwise to increase tension (making it harder to recline) or counter-clockwise to decrease tension (making it easier to recline).
  • Lumbar Support: The chair features built-in lumbar support for ergonomic comfort.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the faux leather or polished nickel finish.
  • Regular Checks: Periodically inspect all screws and connections to ensure they are secure. Tighten if necessary.
  • Weight Capacity: Adhere to the maximum static weight capacity of 300 pounds to prevent damage and ensure longevity.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your chair, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Chair not adjusting height: Ensure the pneumatic lever is fully engaged or disengaged as required. If the gas lift is unresponsive, it may need replacement.
  • Chair wobbles: Check all assembly screws and bolts to ensure they are tightened securely. Ensure the casters are fully inserted into the base.
  • Difficulty swiveling: Ensure no obstructions are beneath the chair base. The swivel mechanism should operate smoothly.
  • Chair squeaks: Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to moving parts or connection points if persistent squeaking occurs.
