5. Setup & Installation

5.1 Pre-Installation Checklist

• Ensure your electric bike/scooter has a 22.5mm (0.88in) diameter handlebar.

5.2 Installation Steps

1. Remove Old Grips: Carefully remove the existing grips from your handlebar. You may need to cut them if they are glued on tightly.
2. Install Left Grip: Slide the new left normal grip onto the left side of the handlebar. Ensure it fits snugly.
3. Install Right Throttle Grip: Slide the right throttle grip onto the right side of the handlebar. Ensure it rotates smoothly without obstruction.
4. Wire Connection: The throttle features a 3-wire connection. Carefully match and connect these wires to your electric vehicle's existing throttle wiring. The standard color coding is:
   • Red Wire: +5V (Power Supply)
   • White Wire: Speed Adjusting Signal
   • Black Wire: Negative Electrode (Ground)

Once installed and connected, the Chazcool Ebike Twist Throttle operates intuitively. Ensure your electric vehicle's power is on.

6.2 Speed Control

• To Accelerate: Gently twist the right throttle grip towards you (or downwards, depending on installation angle). The further you twist, the more power is supplied to the motor, increasing your speed.
• To Decelerate: Release the throttle grip. It will automatically return to its original position, reducing power to the motor and decreasing your speed.
• Consistent Speed: Maintain a desired speed by holding the throttle at a consistent twist position.
