1. Safety Guidelines

Please read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before operating the GoolRC D76 drone. Improper use can lead to injury or damage.

  • Flight Environment: Fly in open areas, away from people, animals, buildings, trees, and power lines. Avoid flying in strong winds or adverse weather conditions.
  • Battery Safety: Use only the provided batteries and charging cable. Do not overcharge or short-circuit batteries. Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. Discontinue use if batteries swell or show signs of damage.
  • Propeller Safety: Keep fingers, hair, and loose clothing away from rotating propellers. Ensure propellers are securely attached before flight.
  • Age Recommendation: This drone is recommended for users aged 15 years and up.
  • Line of Sight: Always maintain visual line of sight with the drone during flight.
  • Obstacle Avoidance: While the drone features obstacle avoidance, it is not foolproof. Always be aware of your surroundings and manually intervene if necessary.

3. Product Overview

The GoolRC D76 is a foldable 1080P HD FPV drone designed for beginners and adults, featuring brushless motors for stable flight and extended lifespan. It includes advanced functions like altitude hold, headless mode, 360° flips, gesture selfie, and one-key takeoff/landing.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation & Charging

  1. Drone Battery: Insert the charged 3.7V 1800mAh modular battery into the drone's battery compartment until it clicks into place.
  2. Charging: Connect the modular battery to the USB charging cable. Plug the USB cable into a 5V/1A USB adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. Charging time is approximately 60-90 minutes per battery.
  3. Remote Control Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.

4.2 Propeller Installation

If propellers are not pre-installed or need replacement:

  1. Identify propellers marked 'A' and 'B'.
  2. Match 'A' propellers to motor shafts marked 'A' and 'B' propellers to motor shafts marked 'B'.
  3. Press down firmly to secure the propellers. Ensure they rotate freely.
  4. Attach propeller guards by snapping them onto the drone's arms for added protection.

4.3 App Download & Connection

Download the official GoolRC drone app to your smartphone for FPV viewing and advanced control features.

  1. Scan the QR code in the quick start guide or search for the app name (usually specified in the manual) on your device's app store (compatible with Android 5.0+ and iOS 9.0+).
  2. Turn on the drone and the remote control.
  3. On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (e.g., "GoolRC-D76-XXXX").
  4. Open the app. The live FPV feed should appear, indicating a successful connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Flight Controls

Familiarize yourself with the remote control layout and functions (refer to the Remote Control Function Instructions image in Product Overview).

  • Takeoff: Press the One-Key Takeoff button or push both joysticks down and out simultaneously to start propellers, then push the left joystick up to ascend.
  • Landing: Press the One-Key Landing button or pull the left joystick down to descend and land.
  • Altitude Hold: The drone automatically maintains its altitude, allowing for easier control of horizontal movement.
  • Forward/Backward: Push the right joystick up/down.
  • Left/Right Sideways Flight: Push the right joystick left/right.
  • Turn Left/Right: Push the left joystick left/right.

5.2 Special Flight Modes & Features

  • Headless Mode: Activates a mode where the drone's orientation is relative to the pilot, regardless of the drone's front direction. Press the Headless Mode button to activate/deactivate.
  • 360° Flips: Fly the drone to a height of at least 2 meters. Press the 360° Flip button, then push the right joystick in the desired flip direction (forward, backward, left, or right).
  • Gesture Selfie: Position yourself within 2-3 meters of the drone. Perform specific hand gestures (e.g., V-sign for photo, open palm for video) to trigger the camera.

  • Intelligent Follow Mode: The drone can automatically track and follow a designated subject (usually the remote controller or a person detected by the camera). Activate this feature via the app.
  • Trajectory Flight (Waypoint Flight): Draw a flight path on your smartphone screen within the app. The drone will automatically follow this path.
  • 360° Obstacle Avoidance: The drone is equipped with sensors to detect obstacles in its path and automatically adjust its flight to avoid collisions. This function may be affected under strong light. For optimal performance, especially when learning, consider flying indoors in an open space with this feature enabled.
  • One-Key Return: If the control signal is interrupted or the battery is low, the drone will automatically return to its takeoff point.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your GoolRC D76 drone.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone and remote control. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Propellers: Regularly check propellers for damage (cracks, bends). Replace damaged propellers immediately using the provided spare parts.
  • Motors: Keep motors free from dust, dirt, and debris. Avoid operating in sandy or dusty environments.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. If storing for extended periods, charge batteries to about 50% capacity. Do not fully discharge batteries before storage.
  • Storage: When not in use, fold the drone arms and store it in its carrying case to protect it from damage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GoolRC D76 drone, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
