Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your M.2 NVMe SSD into the SHARGE DISK enclosure:
- Open the Transparent Cover: Gently slide or lift the transparent outer cover of the enclosure.
- Pull Off the Inner Cover: Remove the inner protective cover to expose the SSD slot.
- Paste the Silicone Thermal Pad: Apply the provided silicone thermal pad onto the SSD's controller chip area. This helps with heat transfer to the enclosure's cooling system.
- Insert the SSD: Carefully insert your M.2 NVMe SSD (M Key, 2230 size only) into the designated slot. Ensure it is fully seated.
- Secure with Rubber Clips: Use the small rubber clips to secure the SSD in place.
- Replace the Covers: Reattach the inner protective cover, then slide the transparent outer cover back into place until it clicks securely.
Note: Ensure your SSD is an M Key M.2 NVMe SSD of size 2230. Other types (B Key, B&M Key, SATA) are not compatible.

Operating Instructions
Connecting to Devices
The SHARGE DISK enclosure features a built-in USB-C male port for direct connection to compatible devices. For devices with hard-to-reach ports or for extended reach, use the included USB-C to USB-C data cable.
- Connect the enclosure directly to a USB-C port on your smartphone, laptop, PS5, Steam Deck, or other compatible device.
- Alternatively, connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the enclosure and the other end to your device's USB-C port.

Data Transfer
Once connected, the enclosure will appear as an external storage device on your computer or compatible device. You can then drag and drop files, or use your device's file management system to transfer data.
- For optimal performance, ensure your host device and connection cables support USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) and UASP mode is enabled.
- The active cooling fan will automatically operate to maintain optimal SSD temperatures during data transfer, especially during large file operations.

Using Write Protection
The SHARGE DISK enclosure features a physical write protection switch to safeguard your data. Locate the small switch on the side of the enclosure.
- To Enable Write Protection: Slide the switch to the "Lock" position. This will prevent any data from being written to or deleted from the SSD.
- To Disable Write Protection: Slide the switch to the "Unlock" position. This allows normal read and write operations.
It is recommended to enable write protection when connecting to unfamiliar or public computers to prevent accidental data loss or malware infection.
