1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your HUIOP FanJu FJ3373 Digital Weather Station. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper function and longevity.

2. Product Overview

The FanJu FJ3373 is a multi-functional digital weather station designed to provide comprehensive environmental data. It features an LCD display for weather forecasts, indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure trends, moon phase, and also functions as a digital alarm clock with a perpetual calendar.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Powering the Main Unit

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Option 1 (USB Power): Connect the provided USB power cord to the DC 5V port on the back of the main unit. Plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port.
  3. Option 2 (Battery Power): Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included), observing the correct polarity (+/-).

3.2 Installing Batteries in the Wireless Sensor

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the wireless outdoor sensor.
  2. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included), observing the correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

3.3 Pairing the Wireless Sensor

Upon initial power-up, the main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the outdoor sensor. Ensure the sensor is within range (up to 60 meters in open areas) and has fresh batteries. If connection is not established:

  • Press and hold the 'CHANNEL' button on the main unit for 3 seconds to initiate a manual search for the sensor.
  • The outdoor temperature and humidity display on the main unit will flash, indicating it is searching.
  • Once connected, the outdoor readings will appear steadily on the display.

3.4 Initial Time and Date Settings

  1. Press and hold the 'MODE' button for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode.
  2. The hour digit will flash. Use the 'UP' or 'DOWN' buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press 'MODE' again to confirm the hour and move to the minute setting. Repeat the adjustment process.
  4. Continue pressing 'MODE' to cycle through year, month, and day settings, adjusting each with 'UP' or 'DOWN'.
  5. Press 'MODE' one last time to exit the setting mode.

3.5 Language and Unit Selection

  • Temperature Units: Briefly press the 'UP' button to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
  • Time Format: Briefly press the '12/24' button to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats.
  • Day of Week Language: In time setting mode (see 3.4), after setting the date, you can select the day of the week language (English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch, Danish) using the 'UP' or 'DOWN' buttons.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Understanding the Display

The LCD screen is divided into several sections displaying various information:

  • Top Left: Outdoor Temperature and Humidity
  • Top Right: Indoor Temperature and Humidity
  • Middle: Weather Forecast Icons, Moon Phase
  • Bottom: Time, Date, Day of Week, Alarm Status, Barometric Pressure Trend

4.2 Weather Forecast Display

The weather station predicts weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours based on barometric pressure changes. The forecast icons include Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy, Rainy, and Snowy. These are predictions and may not always match actual weather conditions.

4.3 Temperature and Humidity Display

The main unit displays both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. The outdoor readings are received wirelessly from the sensor. The device also shows the trend for temperature and humidity (rising, stable, falling).

4.4 Comfort Level Indicator

The indoor comfort level is indicated by an icon, calculated from the indoor temperature and humidity. There are 5 levels of comfort displayed.

4.5 Barometric Pressure Trend

The display includes an arrow indicating the trend of barometric pressure: rising, stable, or falling. This trend is used for weather forecasting.

4.6 Alarm Clock Functionality

The weather station includes a daily alarm clock.

4.6.1 Setting the Alarm

  1. Press the 'ALARM' button once to display the current alarm time.
  2. Press and hold the 'ALARM' button for 3 seconds to enter alarm setting mode. The hour digit will flash.
  3. Use the 'UP' or 'DOWN' buttons to adjust the hour.
  4. Press 'ALARM' again to confirm the hour and move to the minute setting. Adjust with 'UP' or 'DOWN'.
  5. Press 'ALARM' one last time to exit the setting mode.
  6. To activate/deactivate the alarm, briefly press the 'ALARM' button when the alarm time is displayed. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the screen.

4.6.2 Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the 'SNOOZE/LIGHT' button to activate the snooze function. The alarm will sound again after approximately 5 minutes. To stop the alarm completely, press any other button.

4.7 Backlight Adjustment

When powered by the USB cable, the backlight is continuously on. Briefly press the 'SNOOZE/LIGHT' button to adjust the backlight brightness (multiple levels). When powered by batteries only, the backlight will turn off automatically after a few seconds to conserve power. Press 'SNOOZE/LIGHT' to temporarily illuminate the display.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries in both the main unit and the outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace with new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

5.2 Cleaning the Device

Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing. Ensure no moisture enters the device openings.

6. Troubleshooting
