Aoeeki 58khz AM Security Labels Sticker Instruction Manual

Model: JBC

1. Introduction

The Aoeeki 58khz AM Security Labels Sticker is designed to enhance retail security by preventing unauthorized removal of merchandise. These soft labels integrate with existing 58khz Acoustic-Magnetic (AM) Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems. The labels feature a mock barcode design, intended to blend discreetly with product packaging while providing effective anti-theft protection.

2. Product Features

  • Discreet Design: The labels are designed with a mock barcode pattern, allowing them to be applied to products without significantly altering their appearance. This helps in preventing theft by making the security tag less noticeable.
  • High Adhesion: Equipped with a strong adhesive, these labels are designed to stick firmly to various product surfaces, ensuring they remain in place throughout the product's retail journey.
  • 58khz AM Technology: Each label contains a dedicated 58khz Acoustic-Magnetic (AM) frequency resonator, ensuring stable performance and reliable detection by compatible EAS systems.
  • Wide Application: These thin, flexible labels are suitable for a broad range of products, including clothing, cosmetics bottles, and packaged goods. They are commonly used in supermarkets and other retail environments.
  • Compact Size: The labels are compact, making them easy to store and apply, and minimizing their visual impact on products.

3. Application Instructions

Proper application of the Aoeeki 58khz AM Security Labels is crucial for effective anti-theft protection. Follow these steps:

  1. Select a Suitable Surface: Choose a clean, dry, and flat surface on the product for label application. Ensure the surface is free from dust, grease, or moisture.
  2. Peel and Apply: Carefully peel the security label from its backing sheet. Apply the adhesive side firmly to the chosen product surface, pressing down to ensure full contact and eliminate air bubbles.
  3. Avoid Metal Surfaces: Important: Do not apply these labels directly onto metal materials or products containing significant metal components. Metal can interfere with the 58khz AM frequency, reducing the label's effectiveness and potentially causing false alarms or missed detections.
  4. Placement Considerations: For optimal performance, place labels in a location that is difficult for unauthorized individuals to remove or tamper with without damaging the product or the label itself.

4. Operating Instructions

These security labels operate in conjunction with a compatible 58khz Acoustic-Magnetic (AM) Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system, typically consisting of detection pedestals (security gates) placed at store exits and a deactivator pad at the point of sale.

  • Activation: The labels are supplied in an active state, ready for use.
  • Detection: When an active label passes through the magnetic field generated by the 58khz EAS detection pedestals, the label's resonator interacts with the field, causing the pedestals to trigger an alarm.
  • Deactivation: At the point of sale, after a legitimate purchase, the label must be deactivated. This is typically done by passing the label over a 58khz AM deactivator pad. The deactivator changes the magnetic properties of the label's resonator, rendering it inactive and preventing an alarm when passing through the security gates.

5. Maintenance

Aoeeki 58khz AM Security Labels are designed for single-use application and require minimal maintenance. However, proper storage and handling are important to ensure their effectiveness:

  • Storage: Store labels in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. Keep them in their original packaging until ready for use to protect the adhesive and the internal resonator.
  • Handling: Handle labels by the edges to avoid touching the adhesive surface, which could reduce stickiness.
  • Disposal: Once deactivated or removed from products, dispose of labels responsibly according to local regulations.

6. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Label does not trigger alarm at security gates.
  • Label is deactivated.
  • Label is applied to a metal surface.
  • EAS system is not functioning correctly or is incompatible.
  • Label is damaged.
  • Ensure labels are active before application.
  • Re-apply a new, active label to a non-metal surface.
  • Verify the EAS system is powered on, calibrated, and compatible with 58khz AM labels. Consult your EAS system manual.
  • Replace with a new, undamaged label.
Label triggers false alarms.
  • Label is not properly deactivated.
  • Interference from nearby electronic devices or metal objects.
  • EAS system sensitivity is too high.
  • Ensure the label is passed correctly over the deactivator pad.
  • Check for sources of interference near the security gates.
  • Adjust the sensitivity settings of your EAS system (refer to your EAS system manual).
Labels do not scan as barcodes.
  • The labels feature mock barcodes.

These labels are designed for anti-theft detection via 58khz AM EAS systems, not for barcode scanning. They contain a visual representation of a barcode for aesthetic and camouflage purposes only.
