Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your Frizzlife UDS99 Under Sink Water Filter System.
- Prepare the Area: Ensure you have enough space under your sink. Gather all tools needed (wrench, plumber's tape).
- Connect Inlet Hose: Connect the inlet hose to the labeled "IN" port on the filter system. Use a wrench to ensure a tight connection to prevent leaks. If your angle valve is 1/2 inch, install the provided converter set first.
- Shut Off Water Supply: Turn off the cold water supply valve under your sink. Remove the existing faucet hose from the angle valve.
- Connect to Feed Water Valve: Connect the inlet hose from the filter system to the feed water valve. Use a wrench to tighten.
- Connect Outlet Hose: Connect the outlet hose to the labeled "OUT" port on the filter system. Connect the other end of the outlet hose to your faucet hose. Use a wrench to tighten both connections.
- Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the water supply valve. Carefully check all connections for any leaks.
- Flush the System: Flush the system by running water through the faucet for approximately 15 minutes before initial use. This removes air and any carbon fines from the new filters.

Operating Instructions
Once installed and flushed, your Frizzlife UDS99 system operates automatically with your cold water line. Simply turn on your cold water faucet to access filtered water.
- For optimal performance, ensure the system is flushed for 15 minutes upon initial setup.
- The system provides a strong flow rate of 2 GPM, ensuring quick access to filtered water.
- This system is designed to retain beneficial minerals, therefore it does not reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).
Maintenance and Filter Replacement
Regular filter replacement is crucial for maintaining water quality and system performance.
- Filter Life:
- DSF01 (Stage 1 Filter): Replace every 8 months.
- DSF02 (Stage 2 Filter): Replace every 12 months or after 8,000 gallons, whichever comes first.
Actual filter life may vary based on your feed water quality and daily usage.
- Replacement Procedure:
- Turn off the water supply to the filter system.
- Open your faucet to release any remaining pressure and drain water from the system.
- Place a container under the filter housings to catch any residual water.
- Twist off the filter housings.
- Remove the old filter cartridges (DSF01 and DSF02) from their bases.
- Insert new filter cartridges into the corresponding bases, ensuring the sealing ring is firmly installed.
- Twist the filter housings back onto the bases until secure.
- Turn on the water supply and check for leaks.
- Flush the system for 5-10 minutes to prepare the new filters for use.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Water Leakage | Loose connections, improperly seated O-rings, damaged hoses. | Ensure all connections are tightened with a wrench. Check O-rings for proper seating and damage; replace if necessary. Inspect hoses for cuts or damage. |
| Low Water Flow | Clogged filters, low water pressure in the household. | Replace filter cartridges if they are past their lifespan or if water quality is poor. Check household water pressure. |
| Bad Taste/Odor in Filtered Water | Expired filters, improper flushing after installation/replacement. | Replace filter cartridges. Ensure the system is flushed for the recommended time after installation or filter change. |
| No TDS Reduction | System design. | This system is designed to retain beneficial minerals and does not reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). This is normal operation. |
