Installation Guide
Before You Begin
- Turn off power at the circuit breaker for the switch location.
- Confirm power is off by toggling the light switch or using a voltage tester.
- Ensure you have a neutral wire (typically white) in your electrical box.
- Tools required: Screwdriver, wire strippers, voltage tester.
Wiring Instructions
- Remove your existing wall plate and old switch from the electrical box.
- Identify the wires: Live (Hot), Load, Neutral, and Ground. Use a voltage tester to confirm the Live wire is de-energized.
- Connect the wires from the Nexete Smart Light Switch to your home's wiring using the provided wire nuts:
- Live (Hot) Wire: Connect to the black wire from the smart switch.
- Load Wire: Connect to the red wire from the smart switch.
- Neutral Wire: Connect to the white wire from the smart switch.
- Ground Wire: Connect to the green wire from the smart switch.
- Carefully tuck all connected wires into the electrical box.
- Mount the smart switch into the electrical box with screws.
- Attach the new wall plate.
- Restore power at the circuit breaker.

App Integration and Wi-Fi Connection
Download the Smart Life App
Search for "Smart Life" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and download the application. Register or log in to your account within the app.
Pairing the Device
- Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. 5GHz networks are not supported for initial pairing.
- Open the Smart Life App and tap the "+" icon in the top right corner or select "Add Device".
- Select "Electrical Switch" or "Light Switch (Wi-Fi)" from the device list.
- Follow the in-app instructions to put the switch into pairing mode. This usually involves pressing and holding the switch button until the indicator light blinks rapidly.
- Confirm the indicator light is blinking rapidly in the app and enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password.
- The app will connect to the smart switch. Once connected, you can rename the switch for easier identification.

Operating the Smart Switch
Manual Touch Control
Simply touch the capacitive touch panel on the switch to toggle the connected light ON or OFF.
App Control
Open the Smart Life App, select your paired switch, and tap the virtual ON/OFF button to control your lights from anywhere with an internet connection.
Voice Control (Alexa/Google Assistant)
Once your Smart Life account is linked to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, you can use voice commands to control your lights. Examples:
- "Alexa, turn on [Switch Name]"
- "Hey Google, turn off [Switch Name]"
- "Alexa, set [Switch Name] to 50%" (if dimmer functionality is available and configured)

Time Scheduling
Utilize the Smart Life App to create customized schedules for your lights. You can set up single, repeat, delay, or cycle timers to automate your lighting based on your daily routine or preferences.
- In the Smart Life App, select your desired smart switch.
- Tap on the "Schedule" or "Timer" option within the device interface.
- Add a new schedule, specify the time, the desired action (ON/OFF), and select the days for it to repeat.
- Save the schedule to activate it.

LED Indicator Light Status
- Blue LED: The connected light is ON.
- No LED: The connected light is OFF.
- Rapid Blinking Blue: The switch is in pairing mode, awaiting Wi-Fi connection.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting
Switch Not Responding
- Check if the circuit breaker supplying power to the switch is ON.
- Ensure all wiring, especially the neutral wire, is correctly and securely connected.
- Verify that the connected light fixture's wattage does not exceed the maximum load ratings of the smart switch (LED Max 150W, Incandescent Max 1650W).
Wi-Fi Connection Issues
- Confirm your Wi-Fi network is operating on the 2.4GHz frequency band. The switch does not support 5GHz networks.
- Ensure the smart switch is within effective range of your Wi-Fi router.

Voice Control Not Working
