1. Introduction

3. Setup Guide

3.1. Assembly

  1. Place the stainless steel food bowl into the black bowl holder.
  2. Attach the assembled bowl holder to the front base of the main feeder unit.
  3. Ensure the food rotor is correctly seated within the food hopper.
  4. Align the food hopper with the main feeder unit and gently twist clockwise until it locks securely. Verify the lock switch on the side is engaged.
  5. Insert the provided desiccant bag into the designated slot under the lid to maintain food freshness.
  6. Fill the food hopper with dry pet food. The feeder is suitable for kibble sizes between 0.2 and 0.6 inches and can hold up to 12.6 cups of food.
  7. Secure the lid by twisting it clockwise until it clicks into place.

3.2. Power Supply

The Petory Automatic Cat Feeder supports dual power supply options:

  • Primary Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the feeder's power input and then to a standard wall outlet.
  • Backup Power: For uninterrupted operation during power outages, install three (3) D-cell batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located at the bottom of the unit. The battery backup will preserve your settings even if the main power is lost.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Unlocking the Feeder Control Panel

The feeder's control panel features a lock function to prevent accidental changes to settings. To unlock the panel:

  • Press and hold the 'right arrow' (→) and '+' buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds.

The lock icon on the display will disappear, indicating the panel is unlocked and ready for programming.

4.2. Setting Device Time

To set the current time on your feeder:

  1. Long press the 'Time' button (clock icon) to enter time setting mode. The hour digits will begin to flash.
  2. Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press the 'right arrow' (→) button to move to the minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
  4. Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the minutes.
  5. Long press the 'Time' button again to save the time and exit the setting mode.

4.3. Setting Feeding Plan (Up to 6 Meals)

To program your pet's feeding schedule:

  1. Long press the 'right arrow' (→) button to enter feeding setting mode.
  2. First, set the Slow Feed Time (interval between portions). Use '+' or '-' to set the desired interval time per portion (from 1 to 10 minutes). This feature helps prevent pets from eating too quickly.
  3. Press the 'right arrow' (→) button to proceed to the first meal setting. The digit '1' will flash.
  4. Press the 'right arrow' (→) button again to enter the 1st meal time setting. Set the desired hour and minute for the first meal using the '+' or '-' buttons.
  5. Press the 'right arrow' (→) button to set the 1st Meal Portion. Use '+' or '-' to select the number of portions (e.g., 'F-01' means 1 portion, which is approximately 1/24 cup or 5g). You can set up to 30 portions per meal.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for additional meals (up to 6 meals per day). The meal number (1-6) will flash to indicate which meal you are setting.
  7. After setting all desired meals, long press the 'right arrow' (→) button to save all meal settings and exit the feeding plan mode.

4.4. Activating/Deactivating Feeding Beep

You can enable or disable an audible beep that sounds when food is dispensed:

  • Long press the 'speaker' button to activate or deactivate the feeding beep. When activated, the feeder will beep 3 times per meal.

4.5. Manual Feeding

To dispense a single portion of food immediately, outside of the scheduled feeding times:

  • Press the '+' button on the control panel. One portion of food will be dispensed into the bowl.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your Petory Automatic Cat Feeder:

  • Removable Components: The stainless steel food bowl, bowl holder, and food hopper can be easily detached from the main unit. These components are safe for hand washing with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembly.
  • Main Feeder Unit: The base unit, which contains the electronic components, should NOT be submerged in water. Wipe it clean with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure no water enters the control panel or power ports.
  • Desiccant Bag: Replace the desiccant bag periodically (e.g., every 1-2 months) to ensure optimal food freshness.
