5. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Linkind Smart Solar Lights, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Clean Solar Panels: Regularly wipe the solar panels with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
  • Clear Obstructions: Ensure no trees, bushes, or structures block direct sunlight from reaching the solar panel throughout the day.
  • Inspect for Damage: Periodically check the light units and wiring (if applicable) for any signs of damage or wear.
  • Battery Care: While the lights use a durable automotive-grade battery, prolonged periods of low sunlight may affect performance. Ensure initial charging and regular exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Storage: If storing the lights for an extended period, ensure they are fully charged and stored in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting

Refer to the following tips for common issues:

  • Lights Turn Off After a Few Seconds: The default setting is to turn off after 30 seconds. Adjust this in the AiDot app under "Settings" > "Lighting Duration". Ensure the light has received sufficient direct sunlight for charging.
  • Lights Do Not Turn On:
    1. Check for any external light sources interfering with the light sensor.
    2. Ensure the light has been charged under direct sunlight for at least 48 hours initially.
    3. Verify that you hear a "click" sound when pressing the power button, indicating it's turned on.
  • Power Off Completely: Hold the button for 1.5-5 seconds until the lights dim, then release to shut down. Lights remain off until manually reactivated.
  • Default Mode: The light automatically activates in Motion Detection mode by default, with 30s illumination. You can choose from Motion Detection, Luminance Detection, or Light Mode and customize durations via the app.
  • Some Lights Turn Off After 30s or Fail to Sync in a Group: This may occur if devices are in different modes (Motion Detection/Luminance Detection/Light Mode). Switch all devices to Light Mode to ensure the group remains continuously lit and synchronized.
  • Sync with Music Issues: Ensure Bluetooth permissions are enabled for the AiDot app on your phone and that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
